I am talking about my mood right now haha. And when I saw Lang Zhai and Xing'er in 1st episode, I thought the couple would be like Guo Jing and Huang Rong, my most favorite couple.

Sure thing. She can't turn back the time. Everything has changed. But I still miss the time when male lead is Lang Zhai. This is the best part of the story. I hoped they would grow together peacefully. I didn't expect things would turn out like this.

Lan Zhai and Xing'er is the best part of the story. I thought both leads would have serene relationship with character development and would have adventure together. The story is still a great love story but I don't want any emotional baggage at this point of time.

Hey ltns. I've just finished a few episodes and I'm not very clear on one part. Did Bo Wang kill Xing'er 's family?

I agree..... I'm so sad after the death of the CP ( my first time to feel this sadness in any drama or movie)....
A good suggestion. It is on my plan-to-watch list.

Same here. Even though I've already known the ending, I can't help myself out of sadness.

Heh... I love your intrepetation but can't quite convince myself to buy it. I was wondering whether Wenxi dies…
Your interpretation is reasonable. But happiness is more important haha

I don't think cp dies. There is no exact portrayal of his death. Wenxi used the same hairpin to attempt suicide but did not succeed. It means hairpin is not sharp enough. Cp survives his suicide attempt and the emperor lets him go. The last scene is cp and wenxi are together in the beautiful landscape.
I have to think like this to pull myself out from the sadness. But still reasonable.

Many novel fans believe it will follow the tragic ending if you refer to the lyrics of the OST.
Whichever ending it goes, it is worthy to watch it. The last 12 ep is the heart of the story. Bad Ending won't strike me very much because it was already known. Plus, I want to see the emperor regret haha

Haha, I guess it will be happy ending. There are three songs for OST. We cannot conclude from one OST. What if the ending is based on another OST. Just my wish, haha. Let the bad dad regret and apologize to our crown prince.

Was the ending censored because of the number of episodes or the content? If the latter, how come?
It was mainly because of content. But the good news is the remaining 12 episodes is going to be aired soon.

Anyone knows what the cranes symbolizes in this story?
Crane represents the crown prince. A repeated dialogue in the series says, "Crane can fight against eagle." The eagle refers to the emperor.

I feel pity for the censorship. Overall, it was censored because it doesn't give a good vibe to the audience.…
Romance is the mix of bitter and sweet. ML doesn't recognize FL until the last few episodes of the drama. Not knowing that FL is the girl he loves most, he sometimes commit violence against FL (It is quite normal for master and maid relationship at that time, plus he knows female lead has fake identity, so he has to be wary of her. But abusive man is abusive man.)
