Loved the visuals! Good story, unfortunately with many plot holes. Chen Rui is Gorgeous! 6 episodes were not enough. But it’s a step in the right direction as far development of Chinas BL or LBGT cinema.
This drama had me coming back every week. I must say that it was richer in symbolism than acted out emotions. I generally liked the styling very much. But I didn’t feel much of the angst that truly happens in relationships. Cleanly messy and aesthetically pleasing. Definitely a new style worth watching even if it’s not for everyone. I enjoyed it for what it is!
This was good. I’ve seen better BL’s I don’t think the characters were fully developed. The romance was ok. They simply didn’t convince me of it being the love of their lives. Loved the OST. The story was very entertaining. I recommend watching it! They put a lot of effort into the special effects. It’s a 8.5 for me.
In general it kept me interested. The last episode was very lame, predictable and disappointing. It could have had so much fire and passion throughout the whole series’s. It’s Korean textbook entertainment. Trying to intertwine fangirling with true love with our main lead was an epic fail. Inmature and embarrassing to watch. Both leads are very good actors. There were many good scenes but also many missed opportunities to make this a great drama. It’s a 8 for me.
I thought it was adorable and light. A story to relax your mind and give you some good belly laughs! Don’t expect heavy lifting in the passionate part. Otherwise enjoy!❣️
The era of kdramas is more or less over, there were maybe 4 or 5 max kdramas worth watching in 2025 and i really…
I can only think of 2-3 dramas worth my while last year. For the same reasons you state. They are out of ideas! They need to get out of Korea and see and experience new things.
On episode 3 and I’m not relating to the characters at all. Specifically the male lead. The way he’s treated the female lead is dry and atrocious. He can’t move on over a woman he met in Japan who ended being his brother’s girlfriend? At no point did he ever have a relationship with her! Years after, he visits the Japanese Island alone, on her birthday? Please correct me! But the script seems to be written back in the era when it was trendy to keep pinning for a lost love or non existing one, the rest of your life. Meanwhile the female lead is a charming mess. Adorable. I’m disappointed. Was looking forward to this series. Hoping for an improvement.
Underneath each action, was a mentally privileged mind, feeling betrayed and jealous. Yes, because Jira is the first human he has started caring about. He is, and will be ruthless to anyone or anything threatening him. Jira is already his. Kho is a high stakes evil genius! Superb acting!
Getting over the fact that it’s your classic Chinese drama format. The story is very compelling. I loved the reality of fostering a young poor man from a remote village, The acting was top notch. His shyness, change of environment how he saw her as beautiful fairy on earth giving way to deeper feelings. I feel it could have been done with 24 episodes. I struggled to finish it. I FF several scenes and didn’t feel I missed anything. The mother’s character was super cringe. It took away from the sophistication of the story. The leads wardrobe was very nice. A little over the top but truly sharp over all. I recommend this drama. Truly a beautiful story.
