This is turning to be my daily hour of torture. So many unnecessary misunderstandings. She should stick to the person she truly likes. Her reaction to the situation of the ex was out of proportion. Mr. Ji has only shown her respect from day one. I’m surprised her character is repealing him after spending the night together. Because when you know you know. They love each other already! My apologies for the rant!
Liked the leads. The story was as ambiguous as some situations or people we encounter in life. It all depends how you manage it. What I disliked was that the relationship was finally starting to take shape and boom! Game over. Everything was from her perspective and not his. She needed more. So I guess he wasn’t the one. I would of skipped this one.
I’m feeling that I’m seeing a good story with too many fillers. It’s getting frustrating that Ji and Miyu still haven’t verbalized or even hint at any feelings. Meanwhile, he turns rabid when others approach her. Miyu bringing her mother to the hotel is really dumb. Mayor hotels don’t work that way.🙄 I hope there’s some type of breakthrough in the next episodes.
I find this, a well crafted story. Even though some scenes can be FF it’s very realistic. It mostly focuses on the Journey and not the final destination.
I don’t care for these short dramas. But I understand it’s good experience for actors starting out. I dislike the sessional tone throughout. too obvious for me. It cheapens the quality. Not a bad story, but typical of that republican era. To each their own. I wish them the best. I paused it on ep. 12.
I felt I was there with them. Their struggles of those times are so well portrayed. I’m not into writing long reviews. I did fast forward sometimes, when it got a little too immersed in the individual situations. It never took away, what an endearing and important story of those times. They were the grandparents of millions, to this day. Their collective sacrifice and never ending hope created the great China of today! 👏👏👏recommended!
I’m struggling to get through this. Good to see several of my favorite actors. It’s a good concept but boringly delivered. Full of cliches and cringe. Her character is spacey and difficult. They seem to be catering to a very young female audience.
They did their best to tell a complicated story. It came through a little confusing at times. Well acted and beautifully produced. I kind of liked the beginning times in the little town. I found the Emperor’s character a bit cliche. But overall it brought me back to watching historical Cdramas after feeling a dry spell for many months. Recommended!
It’s a bit sugary for me. The concept is very funny but overplayed. What I love is seeing actors which I like very much! Seo In Guk and Seo Kang Jun. By episode 7, I’m loosing interest and FF. But I will complete it. Because even if it’s not engaging and the dating part is grinding. It’s been done with care and great talents! 8.0 for me.

Nice after experiencing a K- drama slump.
