It’s finally over. The script did a huge disservice to BoatOat. I love these two and hope the next project makes up for this one. I’ll be hoping and waiting.
Spoiler alert 🚨 I thought it was very good. But the best scenes for me was their brake up and reunion 3-4 years later. chef’s kiss. 🤌🏼 The ending was as cheesy as they come. This insistence of scriptwriters to treat bottoms as needing to be taken care of is nauseating. As getting on your knees to ask for his hand in matrimony after a mayor operation.🙄 Don't know, maybe they are trying to appeal to young female viewers. The Dan character was given to much air time. No best friend should ever be allowed to wedge into a relationship. It was a decent watch. Would recommend it. But not watch a second time.
Overall it was a good drama. I’m sorry it took Flora 6 years to dump him and three to get back together. She was maddening, obtuse and closed. His ego just fed on her insecurities. I feel the final episodes did not give her enough time to shine, becoming a grown woman to be reckoned with. The last scene was cheesiness express. Good story but no re-watch value. 8.5
i need to react this novel, the ending confused me like after 12.5, still confused af
Yes, that second part of the novel was great I’m sorry it never saw the light of day. They fumbled everything at the end. The special episode was a waste. They should have used it to tie all the loose ends.🤷♀️ Maybe one day they will produce the second part.
The point is…. Hui was comparing their relationship to an ashtray. The mindset of a classic closeted gay guy. Hui in his most logical albeit insensitive manner. His priority is having full control and economic influx in the company. Without the interference of his stepmother. Paramount for his survival. Regardless of who you have a relationship in bed with. That’s how he views the world. I didn’t read the novel. Just putting it in perspective. This reminds me of the USA movie…Fellow travelers.
Revisiting this drama after 4 years. Now I can see why some viewers don’t have the patience for watching. It’s done in a dual manner with constant flashbacks of the past. Having said this, they don’t drag but awnser questions that arise. I,m still rating it a 9 and recommend it.
was she already flying ? I thought she started as a commercial pilot in academy
In the academy she only flew 2 seater Cesnas (propeller ) To fly a large commercial jet, The FAA in the USA requires. More flying hours in continuous upgraded planes until you become a certified Pilot. Also your licenses have to be upgraded too. Although God knows what is going on now.🤷♀️🤭
Talking about using domestically manufactured airplanes, yet the opening teaser is sung in English. The irony!
I’m happy for them producing so many things nowadays. Remember that English inserted itself as the business language in big part because of trade and colonialism in many countries more than 100 years ago.
The acting is very good. I do find the writing riddled with petty situations. A tad heavy on stereotyping women. The girly thing, falling into the guys lap and arms takes away from her sophistication . Her friends don’t help. I hope this is not dragged throughout. Also to jump from a Cessna pilot to commercial jet takes hundred of flight hours and several license upgrades. That part is almost irresponsibly written.
This lakorn is keeping me entertained. But the heavy handed characters of Scott Lois and Granny are almost a caricature of bad taste. It’s too much. I don’t see the comedy in this. Aimm is a cutie and I hope too see him in other productions. Mook always a natural. Good actors, mediocre writing, I would like to see more contemporary concepts. I will finish it, but no re-watch value for me.
For viewers who were confused about the ending. Spoiler Alert 🚨 Just came back to visit the page. I read the Novel and Yai is the grandson of the sister of the original Yai from the 1920’s. This current Yai, inherited the house but had not returned to Thailand. If I remember correctly, he started gaining the original Yai’s memories and awareness after seeing Yom’s picture in a magazine, searching for a arquitect in the Chang Mai area. By the time he comes back to CM. he has become spiritually the original Yai from the 1920,s So yes. For me it was a Happy ending.💞
