I get your point. But this whole production seems very over the top and maybe a little Disney-esqe. Which is not necessarily a problem. There’s definitely room to tone his wardrobe down. They are making it feel like they keep stereotyping bottoms. Interesting to see if this transfers to the characters personality. I hope not because I don’t need a damsel in distress, but a man who uses his powers to get what he wants. No offense to anyone.
So, I’m assuming that Sun’s flashback at the end was with his friend who got killed trying to protect him 3 years before? Maybe that’s why Sun feel he himself killed him? This story is gritty and intense.🔥
The worthiness of an actor is measured on how realistically they can deliver emotions and how effectively they can involve yours in their drama. For me it’s not about the kiss, although I feel it’s silly. I would be more concerned about nudity. I simply don’t feel her sincerity portraying her emotions. It’s like seeing a 15 year old playing house. On the other hand, An Yu express everything through his eyes.
it's weird that the drama made wei liang died...bc in the novel, he was severly injured where he barely miss death's…
I’m just curious about her cousin and hoping that her husband was able to move on with the young child they had. I looked in the credits and he’s not mentioned. If anyone knows, please post.Thx.
Overall a superb crafted script. There was bitter sweetness at the end but realistic. Sorry that general Wei Lang had to die but they had to make us suffer, so he was sacrificed. They still tried to redeem her wishi-washi cousin but after so much crap she put everyone through, Her death seemed futile to me. I hope her hunk of a husband remarried and lived happily!😂 Also had to laugh at the female lead, building dams in full regalia. It would have been nice to see her in more athletic wardrobes. Just some random thoughts on this consistently great story. 9.5 for me.🎭
Unpopular opinion: I find the female lead mismatched for Yu Ning. Her acting is good, but her character has been developed around being a wise old person which for me has lacklustered her. For 29 episodes she has hidden the lighter human side behind domestic bs and her brilliant strategies. There’s more bantering among the men. It just bothers me. Otherwise it’s very well written with no draggy episodes in the middle.
The drama is nice but something is bothering with FL, I honestly don’t know what it is. Why is she irritating…
Her character is bratty and superficial as hell. I’m hoping this changes. I’m still on ep. 6 Definitely getting on my nerves, The story is to repetitive with the reputation and marriage crap. Hoping it picks up. She’s really not being given much to work with.
