Thame, the guy the story tries to paint as this "perfect" guy, who isn't even really dating Po, controls that much of Po's life the moment he enters it???? I cannot believe he overreacts to Po still having leftover lifestyle habits from when he was with his ex for YEARS. I think I will actually drop this show now if it really gets as bad as you are saying.

Now I see why you agreed with my review so much lmao. We share the same brain on this one! I am SO happy I stopped watching before this cringey sex scene you mentioned....yikes. I also had no idea they were teenagers either. I also hate the trope of shaming someone because they didn't get laid, so I'm happy I wasn't victim to that scene either. Thame's constant need for Pepper, someone in a functional relationship, to explain to him what dating was seriously started to get on my nerves; especially when paired with Thame's extreme jealousy (ugh so unnecessary).

Almost makes me want to check in to see how downhill the latest episode has rolled the show; maybe my score will even somehow go down again watching it (although I don't know if that's even possible anymore at this point because it has already disappointed me beyond repair).

Exactly! The random house break-in plot was waaaaay too weird and an obvious play by the authors to try and get Fadel and Style to makes amends without actually letting them make up organically. I hate plots like that so much. I agree that they should've had some Kinnporsche-esc wilderness episode because whilst that has its own issues at least it was fun and pretty to watch compared to the dogwater random house and plain island scenes we get for the couples. The fact that they even untied the guys they abducted and were going to sleep in their house to top it off......as if they didn't expect them to stab them in their sleep or alert the authorities discreetly. It would have made waaay more sense if Style was a smart character and plotted that to escape or something or win Fadel's trust by outing their plan last second, but alas he is not that clever.

I will now check for recent reviews as well to see how popular either justify or criticize this because I also have a morbid curiosity for these kinds of reviews lmaoooo. The "someone giving it a ten but then admit how truly horrible it is and loving it for exactly the dumpster fire it is" are my favorites; the top one under "Unforgotten Night" does exactly that and it convinced me to start that show. I still need to finish that hilarious dumpster fire.

Thank you! This is my first feedback for any of my reviews, so I'm happy my ranting could be interpreted lmao. I like a lot of your reviews as well. I am also so happy to see someone agree with me on The Heart Killers because this series was so messy, but not in the good way.

I completely agree that it would have been LEAGUES better if they leaned into the insanity of characters like Bison and even Fadel and Style in their relationship, much like Kinnporsche was willing to try. And although my review I posted about My Stand-In was very mixed in feelings, I can still appreciate the morally questionable characters it presented in its narrative; even the obnoxious Tong. This show however, was waaaay to underqualified to handle themes like that and it was extremely sad to see the lost potential just wash away as a result. I mean, do they not know that a lot of romance enthusiasts enjoy questionable relationships and dynamics? People eat the enemies to lovers trope up like they're starving (me included lol), and even terrible series' like MAME's have gotten a ton of adaptations that were popular enough to even get spin-offs!

I also agree with the lack of logic in that car scene. I was so confused and wondering how nobody questioned a man holding a gun to another man's head when they are driving at gun point. I also found that they were just abyssmal at their job of assassination because of how poorly they handled their crime scenes. Bison didn't even hide his face and was just leaving his DNA all over the club in the first episode! Obviously leaving DNA in a very discreet place is much more understandable, but not a place where a lot of (probably) rich businessmen attend! I simply could not believe that they were at all qualified for their jobs! How that boss woman allowed them to stay on astounds me....

I don't know if I'm in the minority with this one or not, but the way Fadel and Style just....break into a couple's house in the woods and then.......tie them up........only to untie them AND STAY IN THE HOUSE THEY BROKE INTO AND ATTACKED THE OWNERS OF? I actually started to think I was in a sitcom episode or something and that the laugh track was about to come on because I felt like the butt of the joke for trying to watch Fadel and Style's (supposed to be) emotional abductor-abductee relationship until they patched things up. Absurd.

And are you gonna finish the show? I am honestly curious to see a review of it when it's completed of someone that won't blindly give it a 10 on everything haha.

Between Us is the spin-off story to Until We Meet Again :) and takes place before/at the same time as Dean and Pharm but with the side couple of Win and Team, I just assumed everyone that watched UWMA heard about it, sorry. And for My Engineer, it really isn't that good, I just have a strong fondness for the singular side couple of Ram and King because they were a relationship that was supported by two young people actually supporting each other emotionally and they had some very wholesome and surprisingly nontoxic moments compared to the other couples. Though, just watching the show for their parts probably wouldn't be as impactful considering the relationship between their friend groups has impact on some of their scenes. I would recommend watching that show with low standards overall and just enjoy it for the absurdity because at the end of the day, it's just a crackfest. And I never finished Theory of Love because to be honest Third just made me cringe a lot, but after Not Me I have a reignited love for OffGun's acting so I think I might get around to it after ITSAY. :)

my reply was even later my bad 😭 but I agree with you on those shows. I mean I never got into itsay because it was one of the first bls I tried and there wasn't much to choose from back then so I dropped it early on, but I'm definitely considering watching it for real this time. I tried uwma and mostly finished it but the camera pans on their melancholic or bewildered faces for too long wad just too much for me lmao so I ended up liking the second pairing more as a result but then I heard that Between Us was a miss and that it'd be better to just avoid it altogether so I haven't watched it yet. Trapped is honestly pretty good and I don't know why I STILL haven't finished it yet because they might be my favorite bl pairing besides RamKing from My Engineer (that show was so crack oml). I'm currently trying to get into maybe japanese and korean bls because I've mostly stuck strictly to thai bls so wish me luck lmao.

Do you have any recommendations of BL series (not just Thai) that seem to actually have effort put into them or have a meaningful story? I am looking for some that will actually feel fulfilling rather than just mind-numbing entertainment. One of the worst feelings is after you read/watch something and feel like you just wasted all your time and wish to erase it from your memory (the Love Syndrome books had this effect on me lmaoooo).

I haven't watched Peach of Time (though I've heard bad things), but I'm watching I Feel You Linger in the Air currently because everyone said it was soooo good. So, now I'm wondering if it's going to be overrated once I progress with it, like a bunch of other Thai dramas became for me as their stories went on. An example of a series where the other things going on were more interesting than the BL would have to be Not Me. While I did like the main couple, I think tht a lot of the menaingful story got swept under the rug for their interactions and I thought that was truly unfortunate.

What was the first BL that evoked that feeling that you mentioned? Just asking out of curiosity to see whether I've seen it or not.

Omg yeah and when he like went into sky's house without his permission after the breakup. I think he had a key or something but tbh the tipping point of my tolerance of him broke when he read through Sky's diary thing.
