I haven't watched it yet, but what I love from what I can see so far is how epic the scale of the world and story is.

Not only that but lately Chinese shows have much better production values, the quality is like a high budget movie, so it's very nice to watch for the beauty of it all.

I think one of his best of the best roles was in Chuno (slave hunters) you must watch it if you are a fan.

My bro that watched this said that it doesn't feel like 50 episodes, each episode has the quality of 16 EP shows, no filler, great pacing.

Indeed, it's almost like a Japaneses John Wick. I tried a random episode to check it out and watched a scene with the crazy knife wielding woman that was pretty amusing haha.

I'm going to have to disagree with you. I can understand feeling this way from watching it in one sitting.

But the difference with watching it every week is that the cliffhangers make you think about the show a lot more throughout the week, it's fun to try to figure out whats happening, make up theories in your head etc. And it's extra exciting when the new episode is finally out.

There was a conversation where the person said he didn't like the main actress. I told that person how I disagree, and that she fits the role perfectly etc. Now it's all gone haha. Maybe someone didn't like what he/she said. ;)

I cannot disagree with you more. I think she does the role perfect here. She's instantly the most interesting character. I also cannot understand how you would hate to have her in any show because she does a good job at being creepy AKA begin a great actress. (meaning her character won't be the same in another show)

Give it a few more episodes of character development before judging her character/actress, she barely has had any scenes yet, and she's already done what she was supposed to, creep you out a little.

Come back and tell us if you change your mind.

Is this show targeted towards women, or would a male enjoy this also? I don't mind if it's targeted towards women as long as there are some things everyone can enjoy.

Hi, you can't rely on the amount of user votes for Chinese or Japanese dramas on this website, most users tend to focus on Korean dramas. there's a lot of great Japanese dramas that don't get many votes.

Like some have already said in China this show was very popular, so if this was a chinese website, you would be seeing a LOT more votes.

So basically try to be a bit more open minded, and give a few shows a chance. Sometimes the more popular shows on this site are due to pretty boys attracting fan girls, although often still entertaining, so take it with a grain of salt.

The same writer did Nine times time travel, I feel like the romance was handled better in that show, less cheesy.

So it is interesting how the writer is handling it in this show, it does sort of feel a bit forced, like they are doing it for higher viewer ratings.
