It’s interesting how people have such mixed opinions about this drama. I didn’t really enjoy it at first — even though I like the actors and started watching because of them, I didn’t think they suited their roles as high school students. Some parts didn’t quite make sense to me, like how quickly Seonga fell for Gyeonu and was suddenly willing to give everything up for him, or the evilness of Yeomhwa's character. There were also a lot of cheesy moments that almost made me drop the show. But I have to say, it’s one of the few dramas that actually gets better as it goes on. The story became more unpredictable, and the characters showed real growth and different sides of themselves. By the end, I could see why they chose the leads. They did an amazing job, especially in portraying Bongsu.
the reviews and comments discouraged me from watching this at first but then i gave it a try and binge watched this in two sittings. i loved the bonds and unexpected friendships. if you're interested, give it a try! it deserves a much higher rating.
Lately, I’ve been feeling so grateful that the show wasn’t canceled during its tough times a few years ago. Running Man is one of the few shows that makes me laugh until I’m in tears, and there’s something so special about seeing their chemistry after all these years. I really hope it continues for a long time.
I wasn’t sure about watching this drama at first but I’m so glad I gave it a try! Many dramas these days lose their spark after main leads get together, often feeling rushed or filled with unnecessary episodes. This one somehow managed to keep me engaged until the very end, seeing their relationship grow and giving a nice closure to other characters too. Also, some parts didn't go the way I predicted which was kinda interesting. If you’re unsure about watching it, ignore bad comments and give it a chance!
dramas jang dong yoon and nana play in usually have great storylines. i wonder what happened here... i still continue watching but there is so much that doesn't make sense.
i loved the first 10 episodes. well, there were some illogical stuff here and there but the actors and chemistry between the main leads and admiration for FL character saved it for me. but the remaining 6 episodes were very boring and repeatable. both main leads lost their character completely and so many things didn't make any sense. for me, the death of ML was actually interesting and it was the part i minded the least at the end - it was a refreshing change after all the happy endings these kind of dramas usually lead to. forced happy endings ruin it for me. but i agree that it was unfair to people who watched with different expectations which was writer's fault.
I used to skip watching a show when I read through the comments while a drama was airing and it was too negative. I'm getting rid of that prejudice now. This is definitely my favorite drama airing this year. Not sure what happened to the comments.
I started crying so bad when Chang-hee found the mother. Not because I am that attached to her character but because it felt like I was in his shoes for a second. It was only a second but it made me realize how much I am taking what I have for granted. Coming home, seeing that something is boiling in the pot, calling my mom's name to find out if she's home and check if she didn't fall asleep... That scene felt so familiar to me and how it ended broke me into pieces.
So the father's words: "Even when you don't know how you'll go on, if you pull yourself together you can still find things that are bearable." somehow made me feel like life isn't really all that bad if you just learn to appreciate more of what you have. If we just hate less, fight less, smile more, love more.
did i cry buckets during the last episode? yes. do i like the ending nevertheless? yes!!! because we all know how the story ended in real life and if they changed the ending just to please more people... i'm sorry but what would be the point of this drama then? the last few minutes were beautiful and hopeful and i can say i don't regret watching this at all.
Feeling the second hand embarrassment just by watching the teaser for 6th episode. 🙈 But so far it's super cute! And I am dying of laughter everytime naughty cell comes on screen.
