Honestly, I don't understand how people can give this drama a high rating. Truly. I couldn't get through it, the…
Ye Ji Won is amazing in this. In the end, her and the other supporting characters are much more sympathetic and interesting than the leads. The main couple become so selfish and insufferable I started fast-forwarding through all their scenes and just watching what happens to everyone else.
I love finding hidden gems like this. I don't know how it's rated so low! This dorama is funny, full of great actors portraying interesting characters, and tells it's story without ever once stooping to cliched tropes. It's a complete original and I totally enjoyed it.
I usually like these kinds of stories but this was a big disappointment. The writing is just lazy. There are opportunities for it to be interesting but they never take them and instead go for the easy gag. And some of the plot developments are insultingly dumb. You don't just have to suspend disbelief, but intelligence as well.
It's also another one of those where the strong woman becomes submissive the second she receives affection from even a worthless man.
It started out promising but got sooooo boring. Maybe if the guy actually did something with his superpower instead of just mope around. And as a cop, you would think she’d get pretty pissed off when her boyfriend insists that she not go anywhere without him for protection. WTH
You could cut about half the episodes if the father could remember that communication involves words coming out of your mouth and not staring vacantly at the person you need to talk to until they walk away.
For all it's cliches, I really enjoyed his one. It's very binge-worthy and the actors all did an excellent job. My only real complaint is that too much was crammed into the last episode. With 20+ hours to play with, they could have paced the wrap up a bit better. Still, a very satisfying piece of popcorn.
I'm reluctant to put more time into this drama because I keep reading the endings for some characters isn't what…
In the end, justice is served (the bad people that don't end up in prison either die in a fire or kill themselves) and the good witch has a happy ending. The evil sister gets redeemed in the end which is what a lot of people don't seem to like.
Every major plot development in this one will insult to your intelligence, so turn your brain off if you want to enjoy it. I tried, but had to drop it instead.
is their any love triange??? or evil second female lead??
There is a love triangle but it's not too annoying. The second female lead is the opposite of evil. She's naive yet fearless and absolutely hilarious. She's my favorite thing about the show.
Go Won Hee is delightful. I thought her character was hilarious. The rest of the ensemble is also very strong except the potato-faced man-child playing lead. Some elements of the story are a bit dumb, but overall it's a worthwhile watch.
I'm only on episode three and the lead has bullied the woman he "loves" into the hospital twice, once to flatline and need resuscitation. I'm not sure how this is supposed to be romantic or funny. A woman falling in love with her abuser is psychological horror, not rom com.
So su metal is already 20 years old what about my fav yui metal? guess I'll just google it lol. Sugisaki hana…
Yui turned 18 last June. I was front row at June 20th show in San Diego where we wished her happy birthday. Great gig! BABYMETAL puts on the best live show on the planet right now.
Does this have a happy ending or is it sad and unsatisfying with things left open? Or happy but also doesnt wrap…
It has a complicated and controversial ending. The writer wanted a sad ending but the director wanted a happy ending. They both got their way, kinda. It's a strong drama with a weak end, but I still think it's well worth watching.
While it has all the standard SK drama elements (chaebol, pop star sibling, controlling moms, etc), they just seem incidental, like part of the scenery. This stays focused on a unique story and strong characters that avoid (for the most part) cliched plot twists.
It's also another one of those where the strong woman becomes submissive the second she receives affection from even a worthless man.

It's really quite good. My favorite in a while.
