I think it's the effect of the meds she's taking. In this version they're just saying "painkillers" but in the other version it was diazepam which would account for her very strange behavior. Not that it's okay in any way but she may not be able to fully control it.

Yes, I definitely agree with you that it is a toxic love. It kind of threw me when she showed up because she isn't in the other version. I kind of wish they had kept her out of this version as well. However, that being said it does kind of throw a different spin on it. I like that there's a lot of things different from the other version.
I'm really enjoying the show. I am a fan of the original but I see this as a different version. Yes, there's a lot of similarities but they've also changed a few things and included things that weren't in the other version. I'm assuming there's more they're pulling from the source material for this. I liked the final scene OK but like you said the other version had more of an impact. I think it would've been better if they had gone with fireworks like they did in the Chinese version. But maybe they want to be similar but not too similar. But the way they filmed this version it looks as though Heon didn't notice the Soli until after the swimmer showed up. And so it looks like she's confessing to the swimmer and not him. I hope that doesn't play an issue later. Cause I'm sure Heon isn't dumb enough to think Soli was confessing to the swimmer.

It really angered me when I saw SooJin sitting there reading her comic book and looking on with such a passive aggressive look on her face. It's such a pathetic way for her to act. On the one hand I can understand why the other girl went along with the bullies because she was terrified about being bullied herself. However, that absolutely does not excuse her behavior. And I'm glad that she realizes that what she did was unacceptable and that Jugyeong Will probably never forgive her and rightfully so. Then again, she has such a kind heart I'm sure she will eventually forgive her because she wasn't the main bully. And I fully agree with you it's great that she has the two guys and the other girl to back her up. I love that SuHo fell in love with her true self and find her beautiful without the make up. Even more so the fact that SeoJun didn't even flinch when he saw what she really looked like.
