As someone who didn’t like VP, I already disagree with your whole review lmao and yes KinnPorsche managed to catch my attention way more naturally than the others listen since I started with it so it’s still first and my fav, Shine fumbled the ending in a way that only romance fans and not politic enjoyers could appreciate, KP at least was unapologetically problematic while the author wanted us to think the military out of everyone were who would save Thailand from corruption

what does this has to do with KinnPorsche you didn’t even watch which perfectly portrayed mature guys having sex? Mind you those guys did light kisses, cute dates, and could also have sex or hand jobs or whatever, which is my point. Tbh KP was probably one of the few BL which even showed sexual scene that didn’t include penetration and still manage to get ppl’s attention. Anyway point is, queer love comes at any form and queer people are also humans that experience sexual attraction and have sex, hence why I don’t want ppl to police this aspect. It’s unfortunate that some ppl only views queer sex as something to fetishize over but KinnPorsche had the chance to have insightful actors, both female AND male staff which was able to add way more layer to the relationship than the novel ever did.
Also you didn’t watch KinnPorsche so I don’t think you’re take on sex scenes here being necessary or not are valid respectfully. One of them is litteraly a turning point in their relationship, the other one reinforces some of the feelings they struggle to say out loud and one of them is litteraly the result of them fully expressing their love for each other, finally. I don’t think they are unecessary. I think sex produce some feelings that might make ppl unconfortable and sure you can skip them (hence why I was saying that those 4 2 min scenes were easily shippable and not « too much « ) but that doesn’t relive their purpose on the storyline

I see them a lot sadly, expecially on twitter but BL fans overall rn tend to have this complex, expecially as soon as some bromance show drops and they want to act as how a show doesn’t need kiss to show good love and how those shows are superior to BL without having physical touch as a form of praise, shows like Kinnporsche just remind me that shows can show both romantic chemistry and sexual attraction and make it work well :)

Then imo it shouldn’t be a critic of the show since all those scenes are basically part of the plot, plus I feel like there is enough tags to warn you? BL community has been acting weird toward those scene recently so that’s why I’m talking, I’m not policing but sharing an important perspective that I see is loosing sence as the years pass, ig we got too used to meaningless sex everywhere, or some people are too young or just not into this stuff (I don’t watch shows for those scenes at all, but like I can appreciate a media in its global it’s, even if it included those scenes when it has a purpose to be there), but yes different views ig.

there is an actor who recently talked abt how unconfortable some actors might be abt doing NC and everyone was praising him as if his opinion was some revolutionary stuff while this genre has been going back on Puritanism for a while now, I mean good that you still watched the show ig but those NC are an inerrant part of the show, just like the humor, the action and everything else, to me it’s not abt being unconfortable or not but abt how much you want to tell abt your character, here in KP the characters could be characterized even during those scenes, and I lowkey found this beautiful, I barely see that even in Americans shows so it’s a rare case

man idk, in 2925 where this community keeps want to police NC scenes and praise how ok it is for shows to be bromance and lowkey remove any form of strong queer love expression, I find it odd to complain abt a mature shows portraying adults having sex. it’s part of life and in this show expecially part of the story, like ppl made such great analysis abt how they were filmed and they basically worked as whole dialogue. I get that everyone has their sensibility but well idk I’m glad a show was good enough to even master the portrayal of sexual relationships
