I think nuanced thinking is dead, people can't criticize a character's action anymore that the actor's stans get…
idk I didn’t expect ppl to be so slow that they would fight over a punch, pretty sure even Tanwa can tell the difference between his father beating him over what he thinks is humiliating to his person and Trin punching him for the reasons he was hiding the truth from him in the beginning. And ir’s not abt that punch being right or wrong, Trin pushed back his father, punched Tanwa, hit himself… whatever he lost someone important even Tanwa gets that so I invite y’all to get that as well

seems really low budget😭not that I mind... just putting out there if you're expecting high production quality…
girl this! from the teaser I thought this would look so high but it has a lakorn style, Im so disappointed, it was supposed to be my rival to Shine but Shine takes all the wins for me

I made a comment earlier abt how I thought it was shit but since I was still watching I wouldn’t judge any further, but I found myself dropping in the end. Orm is so cute but that’s it for me, how is it going? I keep hearing negative critics abt it, glad that at least LO fans can still acknowledge when a project is bad, it’s fine next time they’ll invest in a better project for those girls

I'm glad my cinematographic intuition is getting sharper as I grow older. It took me one episode, the very first,…
Ppl,were talking abt this on twitter but it’s possible that they have heavy censor, for example they can’t show too much violence from the army toward the civilian, so you don’t see Victor getting shot and that could explain the civil fits to show army doing violent actions? On the other hand Vera’s death was brutally portrayed bc he isn’t a civilian

Trin and Victor are from different background, but despite meeting as ideological enemies, they formed a unique bond through their earnest discussions. Trin, defying Victor's expectations, convinced him he wanted positive change. Victor developed romantic feelings, while Trin cherished their connection as a guiding force and valuable friendship. This deep, complex relationship, tinged with enemy-to-friend, age gap, and mentor/student dynamics, ends in tragedy, making Trin's subsequent anger at Tanwa understandable at some point for reason you’ll see in the show. In contrast, Trin and Tanwa's romance, which began with Tanwa hitting on Trin at a party, lacks a similarly powerful foundational moment or compelling trope to make it more impactful for some, which explain why TrinVictor could have brought ppl attention more. I don’t ship them but they were in fact my favourite part of the show.

I don’t want to come off as arrogant but that’s common sence, BL fans are apparently so illeterate that they can’t get that Trin was too angry to think straight and indeed could blame Tanwa while Tanwa has his own reasons for doing what he did. That’s the result of cultivating ppl who only se things through the lence of green and red flag, never though they’d lose their shits over a punch. Porsche was actually lucky those ppl didn’t mind him occasionally punching Kinn when he was annoyed, but well when they had to spend their time defending a rapist (Im not defending Kinn but indeed I get how this S.A. storyline was integrated in KP so I’d never use it to downgrade the show, but well those ppl can get that in KP but not in shine?) but draw the line at someone who lost a beloved one bc of misinformation from Tanwa. It’s so weird how they just seem to forget the whole context of this amazing serie to focus on « punch= bad ».

There's nothing to protect. It's the way his character is written. And it has nothing to do with the actor.
Ngl they look stiff, I think Apo and even Victor at some point outperforms them perfectly, expecially Apo. I still think Krailert character is interesting but idk I don’t feel strong romantic chemistry, they are 2 maturer men and I think that’s the appeal they have.

I just finished reading the book and while they both have feelings for each other, it wasn't until the 2nd to…
oh that’s cool, slow burns like this can be interesting, my only worries lies on whether how not the romance will be written well and if the chemistry is there, but I can’t wait to continue this show and hope they’ll do that well

The concept of watching 30min of KP…
And it's a concept but can we talk abt rewatching that is the question
On Shine (Orchestric Ver.) Sep 17, 2025
Something abt MileApo fans probably being MA fans bc they could see the nuance of the immoral actions of a charater like Kinn but draws the line at Apo's character for a punch...Wdym this wonderful ep just happened and all the convo abt it outside of MDL are ppl being mad and crashing out at Trin for a punch, like hell yeah he punched Tanwa he hid an important information from him so Trin wasn't able to try to prevent Victor's death, I would've punched him too since Tanwa can actually get punched and react, Victor is dead and won't do anything anymore I don't think we are in the mind to care abt Tanwa's trauma rn bc he's alive

well we are at ep 6 and there is no romance between the leads
not even hints? I’m glad to see the hype and general success of the show but if it has nothing to do with it portraying queer relationships idk… we’ll we’re still halfway through it they might develop feelings later, does the novel has the same pacing? Still, I think it can also be cool to have a show focusing on the plot like that, the romance will develop later I just hope it won’t feel rushed and that it will be natural with chemistry

y’all I dropped at ep 2 (will watch once all the eps are over) but can someone tell me if some far the romance is there? Like is it strong and lound or something more shy that really don’t take over the poor, and how do you feel abt the lead chemistry?

Saying Tanwa is a useless character to the story makes no sense. Shine is showing how there are all kinds of people…
Hippie mouvement wasn’t showed to his fullest here. i wrote something abt hippie but it seems like the ones in Shine are abt avoiding responsibility and eventually challenging societal norm but also? They only challenge them when they are in their club. Outside he dresses as well hippie kinda but still more presentable that when he’s in the club. They sure promote peace in Shine but their peace come off as inaction, like the gouvernement would love for Victor and the student to just « be peaceful » lmao. Expecially the protest in Shine. Violent protests where I live and all around the world is people burning things, hitting other ppl maybe, breaking stuff on the streets, taking some important places (look at French Revolution, or Nepal rn), while all the students did so far was walking on the street, screaming that they wanted with signs, THAT’S actually how a peaceful protest looks like nowadays, the ones who bring violence into it were the military so it sucks that we act like students were taking the violent road while Tanwa and hippie are chill, mind you hippie were outside with signs, promoting their peace and love logo, not indoors getting high and talking abt how violence was useless in Vietnam. My take is that not everyone can be a hippie, expecially in a third world country at the time so only rich ppl can allow themselves this lifestyle and they happen to be out of touch with reality of struggling classes so ppl like Tanwa can’t help unless they take the Trin’s way of going to see others people struggles

It is tagged as a romance and a comedy for some reason. This what it really is, is not for everyone.
Well they write all their shows so I think we can understand why they sometimes need a few ajustements from original plans🥲

I think that’s how they initially announced it but since they spent a lot of time writing the plot as things got more complex it probably lost a LOT of the comedic aspect (I’ll say great, with such a deep story if they couldn’t balance both comedy and political aspects perfectly it wouldn’t come off as serious)
