I respect your point of view, but I really can’t agree with the idea that GMMTV has “the best stories.”…
calling me a company stand while I’m the biggest Pond hater is crazy but well you were here talking abt how BOC was so terribly mid compared to GMM right? You’re a company stan then. I’m defending Shine, I liked DFF, Mansuang and KP, didn’t watch 4Min but if you find all them extremely weak I’d like to know why. you think you have to be something else than a company Stan to criticize shows from each places? You and some of your clowns camping here to try to act not like the other girls by criticizing everything under the sun for the sack of neutrality is weird, notice how you and the others start by a criticism (fair) and end up talking abt BOC? What does being BOC has to do with your Shine criticism? People are praising it for the things they’re known for, aka mature storylines, quality and established plot lines on top of original work since KP. The way GMM having 20 shows is praised by you, the same way the 1 or 2 shows BOC produce a year are praised for the following reasons, it’s that simple. People come here for things they can’t find elsewhere so ofc they’re praising it. Now how does saying GMM is flawed bc they produce 20 shows so it’s understable makes anything better? Bc do a lil ratio and name me, out of the 20 shows they produced in 2024 how many where highly praised for quality and talent, the thing people search when they go here? you’ll see that not many, so GMM allows cheesy story and once in a while drop a decent banger, that’s how they work, totally different system so totally different fandom

name them so we can laugh together? It was a comedic show to begin with so God thank you laughed. I’d like you to name them bc all the mess made sence in the plot argue with a wall. It baffles me how it’s commonly accepted that they had plot holes when all the plot holes could be easily explained by watching but when you have a superiority lence ig it’ll be hard. Also I notice that ppl on MDL rate all their shows, but it’s not my case, I ça:e here bc I. anted to rate KP originally and would rate some other stuff I watched years before or recently, I don’t feel entitled to this app, Letterboxd do the work for me bc they have dramas

You grew up in an Asian country, not Thailand in the 69s right? Their history has a lot of fitting Western standards to evolve peacefully. Plus it was litteraly could war, and while America was starting to have some protests and social movements, Thai were still under an authoritarian regime. I’m from partly African origins and it doesn’t matter whether or not we agreed with America, my relatives from back then (father included) would fly to the West and America for study purpose, and yes they had « democracy » that was always looked up compared to their countries under dictatorship. Now maybe you’re Vietnamese, Korean or from any country that America fucked up so bad that you wouldn’t have any reason to Stan thĂ©: but notice now this isn’t the case for Thailand, during WW1 they sided with the French British Americans etc, during WW2 they did the same and during the could war as well, it’s simple history. Critical thinking did not start existing in the 21th century but they are at a war time and their country took a path, plus they can look out to the things they hear abt America and eventually idealize it yes, like people can protest freely for changes? What would be a proper reason to hate on them for that?

Just know that for any BOC critic you make, GMM has it 10 time worse. If not it's 1- bc it's a high school or uni bl so there isn't a strong build up for a plot outside of the characters or 2- Rare occasion it's decent, or at least couldbe criticized the same way you critcize BOC (yes Not Me wasn't perfect)

And what has gmmtv to do with Shine? Do you mean boc?
Shine is deeper and more mature, something a GMM audience, as you're proving here, won't enjoy unless there are populzr and liked CP (G4 and OffGun)

Media litteracy is dead bc that's Thailand mindset of the time, like in so many other places! Why do you think America got idealized sm before ppl got critical? Everything was worst at their place and they looked out to it! America had equally a strong soft power and intl power overall, the Thailand of the time developped through the Western system to appear modern to Westerners. Victor questiond why they use Westerns models instead of their own in ep 2. And also a lot of people studied abroadw again in Western socieies who are USA allied, this id the 60-70s not 2020 and it sucks that you expect peple who don't get the same type of knowledge we have access to today and who are under heavy propaganda to think like you. Finally, this is a crtic that's been annoying since the KP days but no way we as grown adults build our moral values over BOC series, they aren't here to send you a message they are here to tell a story and taking everything abt those characters andtheir views so personally can be tricky

They're number on iQIYI and other platforms as well for the whole episodes , most rated series while airing, most…
And now Khemjira is nbr 1 on IQIYI what does it means? They gained money from their fans qs always yes, I think if you want to see Nunew making a breakthrough you'll need to wait for his GDH movie if it's good enough, not TNP praised by Znn fanbases

Im curious to know how a university degree level person feels abt Giovanni’s Room summery and lack of plot: « Giovanni's Room is a 1956 novel by James Baldwin.[1] The book concerns the events in the life of an American man living in Paris and his feelings and frustrations with his relationships with other men in his life, particularly an Italian bartender named Giovanni whom he meets at a Parisian gay bar » I and everyone around the world praise this book and author, but is the plot of this book not plotting bc of the summery? IS it ok bc it’s American but not ok for a Thai BL? I get why they called it a Gay serie then

Sigh ‱ Trin is Thai, from a very affluent family, who studied abroad in France during the Cold War and returned…
the setting is litteraly the plot? What were you expecting exactly? The plot could be written as « Naran and Krailert are 2 gay men in the 60’ who lives in a adultary relationship to hide their queerness from the people of the time » and the reason all that happens would still be BECAUSE OF THE SETTING, leaving them to haver no choice but to fight for freedom. hat abt « Viktor is a student from the working class who’s policalizing himself more into fighting the system up with his friends » and the reason why this is the plot would still be the setting, and do I need to talk abt Trin? Well it’s pretty obvious so far, I feel like you’re just nitpicking so hard lol, your uni paying you 200$ isn’t enough in FRance so you aren’t doing your job enough. But I’ll be nicer bc it seems like you’re genuisly interested in the desire from the intellectual point of view if you’re yapping abt your university degree? Just keep watching and you’ll get an even more clearer picture on what’s this show abt

Typical boc production. They thriving on their fans hyping their plotless series.
Plot is abt everyone fight for freedom in the 70s, including gay right and social struggles. Now wake up ai't nobody wayching Shine for Pond, as you can see that weirdo isn't the only one driting this, has his own actors investing in the serie and I even learnt that Apo directed some scene? Whatever you can still live and enjoy plotty BLs series out there
