I didn't think I'd come here to say anything yet, but seeing so many negative comments here missing the point…
U made analysis, which is great, but it was filled with subjective feelings towards the show, nothing objective.
I doubt you had done any real statistics to say out in the open that negative reviews mainly come from people that didn't finish the show.
Also, your point about behavior is indeed valid, but what people complain about is the suddeness, not that it happened. I expected Kang to change for the better, but not after 2 episodes, or like what? Two or three days in the dramaworld. That change does NOT happen in real life. People change indeed, but not from one day to other.
About your speculation about the gun scene, you are indeed wrong in this. Even though what you said is correct, that moving target is the hardest to hit, it has to be in a certain distance for that to happen, not like 1.5m away, which Kang and Sailom were standing, plus warning shots look totally different. That gangster aimed to kill.
About the "dangerous" aspect I have to say that all the points you have said are right. Things like social, physical and mental pressure are scary things, but I do not personally think the drama portraited these things well. I want back the gloomy and depressing mood EP1 carried itself. Those vibes of depression and social struggle disappeared right after EP2. Not Me is a good example of good carrying of the mood throughout the whole series. It started as depressive and kept the vibe until the very end.
And about chemistry, this is all subjective. In your eyes they might have sparks, while for others, they might not. Trying to convince others to look at it through your eyes is not gonna happen.
I am oblivious to webtoon...so I have no complain or venting on that part and I love it...but I am confused?Wasn't…
Hmmm yes and no? He was a general and in his opinion he was fighting for the right thing and as he said in the beginning, on the journey to new ruler, he freed a lot of people, but at a big price. So, in his eyes and many others of that time, he was actually a hero aka the good guy.
I get a bad feeling here, love from different worlds (human-ghost , in this case) always ends sadly
Tale of the nine-tailed, Goblin, W, Doom at your service, Angel's last mission, Queen In Hyeon's man, The legend of the blue sea, My roomate is a gumiho, My love from another star would kinda argue about this...
I am also cheering for the past main lead, because if we wanna be like real here, that present main lead is dead so I doubt we can have exact webtoon ending with the present self coming back.
If they wanna end it sadly, I think they will show the dead of the past main lead in the present lead's body.
I swear November of this year is, in terms of projects, the best for me! I have so many dramas on my watchlist that I know that I wont be bored for a loooooong time :)
Waiting for the ending. But honestly, well balanced dramas are the best, and so far I heard it is mostly focused on the war aspect. Yes, I am very hard to please in terms of historical dramas ehm...
I don't like dropping dramas, but this drama was an instant drop for me. Plot looks messy, plus the acting that female lead does is not convincing at all. Main lead is not very likable and the overall ''matchmaking'' premise was used recently in a lot of historical dramas. I would prefer more serious historical dramas, like Red Sleeve.
Really? they look like every other clothes from other low budget historicals. They don't do it like empress ki,…
I would argue that it is because the historical periods were different... Jumong was set in Goguryeo and Empress Ki was set in Goryeo. Very different time periods compared to Joseon. I had a chance to speak with a Korean professor and she herself couldn't give me a straight answer why people changed from having very ''golden'' and ''flashy'' clothes to quite modest clothes in Joseon period.
Gil Chae must feel like such a dumbass marrying Goo Won Moo what a fucking coward btw and already has another…
I will pick out only the pregnancy part from your sentence. By Joseon standards it was not frowned upon to have concubines, thus getting them pregnant. But I do agree that by our standards, he is a total trash. I wouldn't be able to live in Joseon even though I love that dynasty very much.
You mean the FL? She went to bed with her husband the night of her wedding.
Joseon worked differently. Women who had sex - even not married ones, but women like gisaeng - were heavily frowned upon. If it was discovered that a married woman was having affair, she could have been killed. With this I am not saying that affairs didn't happen, because they did, but understand that a lot of woman just didn't do it to uphold their ladyship I would call it? Affair was very unlady like... It was totally against Confucian beliefs.

I personally loved every second of it.
From head to toes I would say hahaha.
Since ppl are saying it is very different from webtoon I kinda have high hopes.

Can't wait for future Ro Un's dramas though.

Nothing more, nothing less.
He didn't open any storyline in my eyes.
Everything got wrapped up.
At least in my eyes ehm....
