I am officially leaving the Twitter tag for this drama, because I do not support the - for me - useless rants about the screen time. This drama is unlike other dramas, where the main leads fill out 80 percent of the episode. This drama took a different approach and basically is showing that both females are leads of their own and have almost identical screen time. I like this personally, because often times the 80 percent filled scenes with main leads of different dramas are filler scenes with no value to the actual plot, while here each minute is used to move the plot forward.
It may look like that because this drama unlike others does not show a lot of characters. Compared to other Chinese wuxia dramas, this lacks characters and honestly? I like it more like this? It isnt hectic and I know who is who.
With this amount of episodes very little romance, so if you are thinking about giving this shot for the romance, please don't. Basic 16 episode dramas have more romance and intimacy than this.
On the other hand, if you don't like romance heavy dramas, this is for you!

I just read about the director and if I am being honest....that case happened in 2004 and he has apologized. His work since than had been phenomenal. And about the actor....If it is indeed true, I hope he will serve his time.

Well, since she was so relaxed with the paintings being send to her hometown, she is truly Lady Qian I think. And we don't know the backstory of other female lead as well and honestly? I like it being like this for a while, 'cause it adds to the mystery?
They may be in same place, but only support each other to some extent. The moment one of them reaches her goal, she will get rid of the other. The newest episode only makes it more clear. They are literally backstabbing each other, but for now, those jabs are very small.
