You think I should give it another go? Seriously? Will I forget about THAT scene? You sound similar to me...so…
It's fine :) I have books which I loath 'cause I cannot just ignore my moral standards that clash with authors, and u know what I pity the most? That majority of books I am dissapointed are LGBT books which somewhat have high rating. Hm, if u like THIS topic and wanna watch it in it's correct form let's say what should have happend in TT then I recommend ''The Effect'' because I feel that u are a person that would enjoy it. Idk, I just feel it hahah!
cinematography is good, acting is good, music is meh. but the story is excellent and the scripting was great too.…
I think the context was somewhat lost in translation, because the character Wei Lai has a great importance to the story. I had to reach out to my Chinese friend for better explanation, because without knowing one word, whole movie kinda loses its meaning. U said u are confused by the ''A letter to 20 years after'' or in other words - future. WHOLE story circles around one word - future. Chen Nian is basically living her whole life well in order to have better future - that's why she studies well. And believe it or not, the murder was a turning point, because she killed Wei Lai - future. In Chinese the word for future is ''wei lai'' so killing her bully had two meanings. She literally killed a person called Wei Lai, but the second meaning is that with killing Wei Lai she literally killed her good future, as well. So a letter to future is kinda self reflection on her action? Doesn't it somewhat sound as if even the topic mocked and criticized her actions?

Trust me, Tharn and Type are faulty people and I am so not like that and I do not support such hmmmm standards? But I cannot force my ideals on other people, so even when I read books it sometimes happens that I hate some actions the character does, but then I calm down and think to myself that not everyone thinks like me and the matter of what is right and wrong in this world can be sometimes so vague. With this being said justifying crime is terrible thing to do, but I feel that the later progress of Tharn and Type is worth to watch. I won't lie to u, even in the end they each have their own faults, but is it better compared to their start? YES! I have to say that in S1 Type is the main hero and undergoes the major change, while Tharn will undergo the major change in S2.
Also wanna say that even the author does not support the actions that Tharn did, but she said the exact words that I said - that this world is full of faulty people and this story is about two faulty people coming together to get better slowly to be better humans.
I hope I helped u a bit and gave u courage to maybe give it a second chance :)
I think u should give it a try. Trust me, I am also strict with my moral standards, but remember those characters do not share yours or mine standards - they are both very faulty characters and I like it. Why? Because this world isn't filled with only good people and perfect choices. TharnType is story about many faulty characters coming together to grow up together and become better humans.
does this drama remind anyone of the book called wicked fox, it's almost the same plot just w reversed characters…
How is it the same.... I only heard about the book - added it on my reading list, but later removed. My friend told me the romance wasn't overwhelming and weren't the characters high schoolers? So, can u drop down the similarities, pls?
Gosh, the finale eps were sooooo gooood ahhhh T.T ''Do u know why marathon and love are so similiar?'' ''Because once u start, u cannot stop?'' ''Indeed, whether you're in love or running, your heart beats fast!''
Is that Ko So Hyun playing Zigeunerweisen in EP10?! If it's her, I would have listened to whole piece instead the few second one which they included, because, dear Lord, So Hyun is a prodigy and this piece is just....blessing.
And I told u right away that the script which is the key to this series does truly belong to MAME and the content cannot be adjusted, since she fully owns the right, BUT here comes the but....I don't like the directing and the drama from technical aspect as well and for THAT New is responsible. So, in the end they are both to blame in my eyes. But it is indeed weird that Me Mind isn't producing this, but maybe Millennials Choice offered more money? I mean whole S2 is about money....
Mame is responsible for script, which was given to New and as far as I know, the show is produced by Wabi Sabi and not Me Mind Co. or am I wrong? Yes, New doesn't have the rights to change the script and plot, but the drama is produced by his studio, or....?
