As for his love life, he was madly in love with a court maid, called Seong Deok Im who later received the highest title, Bin (title for highest ranked concubine). If you want to learn the history through a drama, I recommend watching Red Sleeve, which focuses on the life of Seong Deok Im.
This is story of Yi San, one of the most wise king of Joseon dynasty. It may be confusing for some to understand the internal turmoil that Yi San went through, so let me simplify it. Sado did horrible things due to mistreatment done by his father who wanted a wise heir, but instead Sado was very artistic and passionate about it, which wasn't favored by Sado's father who wanted him to stick to studying. With all this, Sado went nuts and killed MANY people in just one night's event. Sado also wasn't an exceptional father, so you may be asking why Yi San still kinda took his father's side and even acknowledged his father AFTER Yi San's grandfather passed away. The reason is filial piety and Confucianism within it. Joseon was built on this, so Yi San struggled to be respectful towards the king (his grandfather), but also his dead father.
While Yi San's grandfather was alive, Yi San was forbidden to talk about his father - mostly from fear that he wouldn't be able to inherit the throne and help rebuild better country. But, once he was crowned, his first words among the ministers were ''I am Yi San, the son of Crown Prince Sado'', directly claiming that his origins could never be erased. He also built Hwaseong fortress so he could get to his father's tomb faster, which was the epitome of filial piety.
The bromance and everything around it....is completely made up and it irked me so freaking much because we know that by the age shown in the drama, Yi San was madly in love with someone else.
Also, don't ask me to explain Noron and Soron factional strife, because we would be here till morningggggggggg. Just know, that factions in that period of time were strong and basically were the pillars of the Joseon and in the past it got so bad, that we had literary purges due to these faction conflicts.
Sorry for the rant, but being a (hopefully) future historian does this to u LOL...
As someone who lives in a country with major bear crisis and attacks on WEEKLY basis, no, I do not choose bears…
Since you and me are of same species and you say we infest this globe with our fleshy, bipedal fungus, maybe reconsider your stay on this terrible planet where you act like some judge to decide which death is worse - in hands of a human, or an animal.

Misinformed humans? Pls and go and tell that to the family of three that was walking in a village on a street to the supermarket when a bear killed them all.
Don't try to lessen the terrible impact bears can have on people just in order to make your point about some horrible men.
Currently we have such a bad situation with bear overpopulation because our ministry did nothing for years to control the situation with wild animals that currently ordinary people like u and me are paying price for that with either death or heavy injuries.
So yes, I am still scared of a big animal that can literally kill me with a blow than a man who I have higher chance in defeating. And pls, don't turn it around and say that I have not experienced a violent attack from a man. I did - beat that man to pulp, tased him, called cops and won good sum at court also. If I met a bear? I would die.
Why is nobody mad that we don't know what she did? I can't sleep peacefully because I don't know if she stayed…
Why should I be mad when she said the lines, ''I am judge from hell'' meaning she agreed to the contract with Bael. If she didn't agree, she wouldn't have a reason to say that she is a judge from hell, since she would do her job like until now - without sending anyone to hell, thus not making her hellish judge.
Whether you think about my words, it's up to you, but I wish you peaceful sleep :)
