OMG I THINK I GHOST WROTE THIS ARTICLE THIS IS LITERLEY HOW I FEEL. THE ONLY DRAMA THAT GIVE ME ALL THE FEELS…
U are my One spring night soulmate T.T It was SO good and I marathoned it and than I marathoned it with my mom and we both fell in love. Like it is so realistic that it's sad that people who kinda don't really understand Korean culture cannot see it :/
U have to look at a very important aspect which is the year the good oldies were made in. The dramaworld is evolving and sometimes not in a good way, that's how I explain the ''slump'' I am having. I absolutely LOVE the old tropes so when I see lack of them in new dramas it often pulls me away from the drama. It's not like I am not into new stuff but the new content should be like really good! U mentioned Healer, right? THAT drama was so so good like perfect balance of romance and action absolutely 50/50 and I cannot find a similiar drama to it and that's what makes me furious. We can have 200 dramas with first kisses happening in rain but not 50/50 action/romance dramas and that's just example.
The problem I also have with the new dramas is the portrait of relationships? I feel that in the past they were more family centric (marriage+kids) but now such ending is hard to see. Yeah, others can disagree with me on this point bcs someone doesn't want to marry or have kids but I like it and I get freaking sad when dramas these days do not show the for me happy ever after.
The drama that I fell in love with this year and marathoned ( YES, it was only ONE drama) is One spring night.
I think the drama with Pring was absolutely useless and made Wayo look super childish! I don't know why he always…
And this is why I don't mind new director and scriptwriter. If they will do better job than why not give it a chance? And guys, these were just major things if I wanted to dig out the smaller ones, I would be here whole day....
I think the drama with Pring was absolutely useless and made Wayo look super childish! I don't know why he always…
Also, Wayo hates Pring so why ask Pha to go and get her? ''because she is a girl'' like damn Yo! She for sure ain't drinking alone but with her friends bcs that's just Asian culture - u do everything together. And even if she was alone, who knows? She might be the next kungfu fighter! Also where did Pha really go when Pring never told him the address? Also why were Kit and Beam with Pring is another mystery. The plotholes are just piling up....
I think the drama with Pring was absolutely useless and made Wayo look super childish! I don't know why he always…
The other thing is clearly the ending and Park thing.
Park was from the first moment introduced as the bad character and Wayo knew this very well bcs he just showed how annoyed he was with Park so why suddenly invite him to cinema? Just to make his boyfriend who did litterally nothing angry? I did not know that once u start a relationship u can't speak with others...wow, that's a new lesson! I mean, come on Pha looked so uncomfortable with Pring.
Anyway, the Park thing!
Idk about u guys, but I do lock my doors so how did Park get inside is a mystery plus why make such a drama from a hickey? Whole school knows that Yo is dating Pha, so if I was in that school I would simply think that Pha did it. See? SO MANY plotholes!
I think the drama with Pring was absolutely useless and made Wayo look super childish! I don't know why he always doubts Pha when Pha is like Wayo's lap dog that shows unconditional love. I must admit, Pha made a fool out of himself multiple times just to please Wayo! I did not finish the novel so I can't say if this is true, but why did Wayo doubt Pha in first place when the series showed from the start that Pha is gay! Not even bi but clearly gay! In novel he may have been bi but in this series they never mentioned Pha being with girls as far as I know? So what's with that Pring thing?
all the cuts was decided not by the director. That makes him very angry and sad. Plus he was the one being coach…
I am not ashamed to say I gave this drama 7.5 score because I am very critical person I guess? :D Maybe I am the problem LOL...
Idk like of course it's much better than first season that got 5 stars from me, but still it is far from anything close to perfect. Honestly, it's worth to rewatch only Mingkit and Forthbeam scenes.
And yeah, the novel phuuuu....I won't comment on that. The thing is when u have bad novel as a script writer u should try and change it in a positive way. I would for example delete the Pring jealousy drama and add sth new with Park bcs he is a psychopath BUT for sure not rape 'cause that escalaed quickly...Like from jerk to a criminal is a huge jump :D

Liz I commented this knowing these facts already and I even wrote on Twitter that the cuts were made based on someone else but since it is the truth I would step down from the project and refuse to direct as I would feel used kinda? Just imagine he put all his effort into the scenes and suddenly they were cut off....I would be furious BUT let's not talk about the cuts anymore and focus on basic scene directing because I did have problems with that as well. The sequences were very haggard and sometimes didn't match up and I know I can't put all blame on director bcs that would be dumb, but in the final cut he was the one who saw the scene. He was for ex. the one who saw how the lighting is (which bothered me a lot) or the music which was used or the camera angle or the way the story was told.
Also I know about the screen writer and his Motive village fight and honestly, I did not like the script as well? Yeah, call me a dick or shameless being but the dialogues mostly for PhaYo were lot of times immature. I think he tried to make the novel come to life way too much? Like the story lacks in many points elements of reality which are extremely important.
Look every couple's meeting is realistic but the drama and conversations are far from reality and we could all see this at last episodes with Yo's weird jealousy and the ending scene of EP12 also if someone turned off the lights in the bathroom I would shit myself and not get horny :DDD
Like, I don't know why is majority defending the director of the series from leaving when on one side this series was critized a LOT for the directing and mostly cut out scenes.
Personally I don't think something big will change if they change the director, because honestly I felt no special feelings for this directing as in lot of times the scenes did not potrait the right feelings for me.

Edit : Yes, just checked IG and they said it's a special episode
