No, Joseon laws during queen selection. 1. We dont know if her mother is alive, if she is not, she is not eligable for queen position. 2. Her father was sent to Qing as a criminal and by law none of queen's relatives could have a bad record, having bad record means not eligable for queen position.
there are other rules, but she would be breaking these two major ones.
As expected an open ending… But am I the only one who expected more, like a wedding or a child? 😅All in all…
I didn't expect wedding, since this drama is very very very real with sticking to actual history. She wouldn't pass queen selection, so she would qualify only for a concubine title.
Tell me again why cant she just be his empress avoid having to be sent to Qing?
A lot of reasons. To put it simply, she wouldn't pass the evaluation in queen selection. Major reasons are: we do not know if her mother is alive (only daughters with both parents alive could be queens) and her father was sent to Qing as a criminal and no one from queen's side could have bad record.
So, overall a phenomenal drama, which took it's effort and stick to the actual history, which is always welcomed. Even though I had a big problem with the FL and her constant treason game, I liked the overall politics, which carried the whole show. The politics were trully written in a way that just keeps u going forward. Each major and minor story was wrapped nicely in the ending, and the ending wasn't abrupt, where everything wraps up in last 5 minutes. No, the last episode since beginning started to wrap things up, which was welcoming, since the previous work of this script-writer, in my opinion, failed on the ending part. If I have to say sth about the romance, I liked it, even though the whole revenge misunderstanding kept dragging and it was annoying because the ML proved himself to be trustworthy numerous times. The ending also did fail at wrapping the ending for the romantic part of the story, kinda? We do not know what is going to happen in the future we basically got a present romance ending, and I think since the script-writer wanted to stick to real Joseon history he omitted the ''part we all wanted to see'' because of the reasons I mentioned weeks ago in this comment section.
IDK! My Joseon soul wants some sageuk but literally nothing is airing and months later we are getting a freaking…
I am old watcher, like veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery old so hahaha Princess Man is among my top sageuks and I watched it when it came out. Grand Prince was dropped as it was lackluster.
Hey , let me guess , another love triangle ? and SML will meddle ,touch blah blah with FL ? there will be misunderstanding…
No love triangle. FL rejected SML in like first or second episode and he accepted it. Misunderstanding will be between main leads, but honestly, SML is there for decoration I think? He isn't relevant to the plot much and isn't part of misunderstanding between main leads...
Honestly, EP15 was a let down for me, since for some reason the scenes kept dragging for me. Also, I think the writer tried to gain sympathy for Ding Dong, but I just rolled my eyes honestly.
She attempts murder at about EP13 I think but it fails.

So yes, I did read the comment.
That's why I am rolling my eyes at your comment now.

In the webtoon they live together.
