Loved Be Melodramatic and the friendships!

I might give it a try after reading these, sadly I have rather bad hospital experiences that usually keep me far away from medical dramas.

For me personally, I shy away from overhyped shows mostly because of the spoilers, it feels like I have already watched the whole show just from the clips. If I want to be 'in the know' I just watch one of those 'their story' Videos on YouTube, a whole show in 15 minutes. Sometimes I will come back and watch the show years later, and enjoy it then, probably. The nitpicking mostly comes if I am just going through the motions, if it's not my Genre or current mood at all. And with the generic tsundere dramas, I can't help it if there is no plot.

I find the best dramas are the mid-hype dramas, where you ask for recommendations from people with the same taste and then get a random drama with really high ratings that you never heard about. Usually they have less mainstream plots and no spoilers. Sometimes it's also dramas that were called silly or bad acting by some random Fandom, but people outside of the Fandom war quite liked. Like, I don't care if XYZ actor had a bad drama before or some issues in his offscreen life, I am just here to relax and hug my pillow after a long day of adulting.

Anyhow, thanks for adding to my long list of dramas to be watched. Would love more articles on Jdramas too.

Dropped it after the first season. My parents were heavy into the fantasy genre, and I felt like I read that book 50 times when I was a teen, until I finally got access to a library and could choose my own books.

Also, I haven't watched CLOY yet, even though it fell into my prime KDrama phase, because it was so hyped I got spoilers left and right, and feel like I know the plot and all the good parts already.

Boys over Flowers and Meteor Garden were such a hilarious let down. I watched other dramas before those, thankfully, because I don't think I would have come back.

Strangely, this isn't my genre at all, but I am excited. Sounds like a very unusual drama, and I am sure those two will deliver some intense performances.

So, do I have to watch Season 1 before watching this, or is it a standalone? (I crave some Lee Joon Gi, and want to watch the first season anyway, but I don't know if I am in the mood for a major time investment.) Are all the seasons/parts binge material or more one episode at a time material?

I am sorry, I loved the romance, I even loved the concept.

But apart from the silly side characters, I couldn't help humming "dumb ways to die" ever so often. Does she think she is Do Bong Soon, which this was clearly inspired by, running around in the forest while a murderer and stalker is on the loose? This was such lazy writing. But yeah, they were cute together, I love people going really soft for each other.

Oh, I love a good soundscape story, but I wonder if they can keep it up the whole drama.

Good in what way? It's really good for what it is, a snack sized soap opera and thirst trap! And I mean, it's like finding a perfect cake in the trash, weird packaging but tastes fantastic.

You are just jealous, because you can't use their services, and if you did, your match would probably not look like Rowoon. (I am projecting, it's me, I am jealous. ^^)

Thanks. I don't mind bittersweet or open endings if it fits with the plot, better than a shoehorned in even-the-bedbugs-are-happy ending.

I like a lot of Xiao Zhans dramas, I just finished Sunshine By Your Side and loved Oath of Love. I am neither a fervid Fan not anti Fan of anybody, so 🤷‍♀️. (Okay, maybe Gong Jun. 🤭)

If it is more interesting than the dramas I mentioned I am gonna be happy, lol.

To watch or not to watch?
I am more of a modern romance or Wuxia fan, and I don't mind a FL acting cutesy, if it is not all the way and there is development (like in LBFAD). But romance and chemistry is essential for me, I don't mind a slow burn or slow, calm story even, if there is a great payoff.

What I don't like:
- abusive male lead, he is not just ignorant or professional, but verbally or physically abusive.
-Extensive, boring sideplots. Along with lack of screen time of the FL and ML together.
-Repeat Flashbacks that fill over 30% of an Episode, more than one time. Or constantly talking about the same event over and over and over. (Like Legend of Anle).
-Dumb Fight Scenes: detailed fight scenes, that don't do anything for the plot, but last ten minutes (like TTEOM) and is just people unrealistically throwing each other all over the place. I don't mind well done fight scenes or battles, if it changes something in the story, not just fighting and then everyone heals with magic and we go back to the plot. I skip those anyhow, but a heads up would be nice.

I have a resolution to watch dramas all the way through, so please advice me if this show is worth the investment.
