Don't get me wrong, I like L, I think he's handsome and cute, but I wish they had chosen an older actor to play that angel role so he would match the FL better. Just my pov, tho.
I tend to get bored/annoyed with plots that have those characters who do lots of bad stuff only to make a couple break up. I've got issues with conspiracy in romances.
One year later and I changed my mind and decided to give it a try (although I haven't finished Someone Like You…
I haven't even started it yet. lol! Lately I'm into Korean romcoms. ^^ Why wouldn't you recommend it? What did u dislike about it? (I don't mind spoilers)
The story is cute, but the female lead has to improve her acting when it comes to crying out loud. And I wish the male lead was a better actor; didn't like Hyeon U's acting (and his looks didn't seem to match this role as well, imo). Strong second male syndrome this time.
For me it was really bad.First I read the webtoon, then I watched the drama - and overall I liked it, even if…
I haven't read the webtoon nor have I watched the drama yet, but it's visible there are things missing so they could make the story fit in a movie. Since Idk the original plot, I can't say about important events or not, but I liked the main point of the story presented on the movie (the reason why the leads are suitable for each other). So as someone who started 'from the end towards the beginning of the versions', I found the movie very acceptable, although it's not a big deal (and, considering your comment, I imagine the original plot is much better since is better developed). Idk the reason why a manga/manhwa/webtoon storyline is often changed so much to have a drama/movie version. I felt very disappointed with The Bride of the Water God, for example, mostly bc both the main actor and the main actress were so poorly chosen, besides having the story completely changed.
This drama is one of the few that despite the old clichés I really enjoyed from the beginning to the end. It…
And sth I really liked about it is that there are no 'steps' to their relationship. There isn't a woman scheming against O Sol so she can have Seong Gyeol, nor there is a guy scheming against Seong Gyeol to have O Sol for himself. The one who could do it tried to be an obstacle between them so Seong Gyeol would stop being so passive. After all, Daniel was his psychiatric. XD I really hate when there is a man/woman who can't accept the person they want to be with being happy with someone else and they do anything to have them back again.
This drama is one of the few that despite the old clichés I really enjoyed from the beginning to the end. It took me some time to finish it bc when things finally started to go well btw the main characters, I stopped for a while bc I didn't want things to be screwed up. The drama is light (in general), funny (Seong Gyeol's histerical moments due to his mysophobia were hilarious), and sweet. Oh, and the best: there are no wall kisses, thankfully! o/ So for all of that I really loved this drama! <3
They could cast EXO's Kai as the male character for Mermaid Prince. Idk it seems it would be suitable. (Btw, it's 2019 and that adaptation hasn't come yet. =/)
Depending on the leads, I like the arranged marriage genre. I usually like love triangles as well, mainly when the leads are all good characters. I really hate when 'the other one' is always trying to do sth to break the couple apart. I specially like it when it's the girl divided into a 'new love' and a childhood friend, for example, like 'The time we were not in love'. I only feel sad for the friend when he doesn't get the girl. If there's sth that makes my eyes roll is that wall kiss. I mean, when it's a high school love and the girl is surprised with a first kiss, ok. But except that, no. You either at least move slightly you lips forward or you just reject the kiss properly. -_- If there's a second pairing I (and many others) loved is Feng Jiu and Dong Hua in Eternal Love. I liked them more than the leads. lol As for the rich man+poor woman, you forgot to mention the rich man is usually a grumpy or just difficult person while the poor woman is usually optimistic, bright, and even kinda silly. So they're like complete opposites. A recent example of that is Clean with passion now, which I liked a lot mostly because of the male lead's phobia and his overreactions caused by it.
Well, if I knew I wouldn't like Marry me, Mary (I just cannot stand the female lead), I would have passed it. I only managed to finish it bc of KJW. ^^ (And that's when I first fell in love with him)

His life was about working and taking care of his grandmother, only. =/

This seems to be good. Definitely gonna watch it!
