IKR, Netflix usually drops all episodes if the drama has up to 11 or 12 i think. I did not expect that with Dear Hongrang and I was like "OOOOKKKKAAAAY" that´s how my weekend´s gonna look lol. But I did as much work today as I could so we will see how my work day will look tomorrow
So I came to realization, that after seeing over 60 dramas and BL, this is the first time ever for me, to prefer the second couple 🫣🫣🫣. not by much but I do (If I had to put number on that it would be 45/55 for the 2nd couple). And trust me, it never happened to me.
I think its just the leathal smile of JET and the cuteness of Charn. It may very well be, because the way FirstOne portrays Jet. His smile is just so bright and Tle`s cutness is also something else as Charn. I realized that while watching episode 11. I saw the river scene in a preview and first thing i did when the episode was available was skip everything, check how it is solved, then watch the whole episode.
I think however, I started to like Jet the most of all characters in episode 5, where his sight was taken and then given back. I cried the whole time. That scene (or 2 scenes) was a episode stealer
But please don`t missunderstand me. I love love love the main couple!!!I love the slowburn between Master and Khem so much. Their relationship is more complicated and rises from more dire situation. I do however love everything that surrounds their relationship. All the hardships, love, hate coming from all sides to blow up in the finale. Their relationship is so gentle yet so so strong. It is so very well crafted by the writers. One of the best relationships out there.
I will have to write better review but masterpiece indeed 10/10

I agree partially. I think the base for their relationship (that GT hides his Ω identity) is good. Its the execusion for me. Not much happens in the "main novel part", things get moving in the extras only.
On one hand Gao Tu never speaks for himself, but he can be brave, as he stepped in between fighting SWL and SSY all pheromons blazing, and for Ω that takes courage.
On the other hand SWL is way to dumb dumb wolf for me. Its OK he has a trauma, but they could have use GT somehow help (like SWL finding out GT is an Ω so he tries to figure out why he is hiding it, starting to change bit by bit). IDK something like that. It would still be A CEO / Ω secretary which is fave trope I guess.
Their plot had sooo much to offer sadly it did not and it ended as it did. I always looked at their part as a basic tool to help move the main plot. As much as Im happy they followed the novel pretty good for the main couple, I think they should have change the 2nd couple (and I usually hate changes like that lol) it is indeed wasted oportunity.

Not the careers obviously but the perception of the show. I often look at the rating first, see comments and then deciding if it has tropes I like etc. If someone comes here ans see lower ratings it may be reason for ppl not watching it. And that affects all 4 of them + the whole cast. instead of gaining fans ppl may stay away + its highly immature.

So here is my innitial shorter review 10/10. I loved everything about it and before you start pointing about second couple, please read below as there is my take on the 2nd couple.
Did it seems rushed? - yes, but it did not affect my enjoynment at all. As far as rushed or omitted things (intimacy scenes, wedding etc), editing, rushing its still important to remember that it is a Chinese production and many things may went crazy behind the scene (prime example was finale of Revenged love that was only 30 min and was visible it was heavy edited + they were scared of being cancelled so they aired last 5! episodes together) - here may have been something similar.
This my whole POV comes from someone who read the novel.
After watching episode 1 I immediately stopped watching and read the novel. I don´t mind it to spoil the show, as in this case, the context given was everything. I was captivated by Hua in the omega scene in his house, so I was full on watching for Hua and Shao You. I am team Hua all the way (bc of the contex I have from the book for both of them). Yes, his method was ruthless to the limit, BUT look what he gain (and get to Shao You) at the end: love, loyalty, family. they both never really had it. That´s why I have no problem to be on Hua side from day 1.
as for the second couple. Yes their story was not finished (its finished in the novel extras). Honestly they could have add more, but for some reason they decided not to (maybe extra episode? we will see). The main novel ends when Shao You is 6 month preggo and only mention of SWL is when he calls Hua complaining that Gao Tu is hiding. thats it. That did not affect my enjoyment, as I know how they end.
The problem for me is this: The idea of their storyline is great, is more on the "human" side of the omegaverse, where SSY and HY is more based in the fantastical "Enigma", BUT over the time the plot gets boring, in a sence that it gets repetitive, stagnant and unmoving, in a way. Wenlang is soooo dumb I skimmed the pages rolling my eyes and tried to get to the happy ending. Their story gets interesting AFTER the main novel only. I think if the writer cut some of the repetitive !omega hate"/GaoTus yerning and started the plot moving faster, it would be way better.

well his 3yrs were full of hiding and suffering so i skimmed a lot of that. He had a alfa friend (ma heng)that help him leave and hide, that provided the soothing pheromons, but it was hard as compatibility was only around 60% (for loved one you need at least 80 i think). because of that Lele did not like alphas, because the pheromons were not his fathers (i think). he was in a coma and almost lost the baby but from top of my head i cant recall more misfortune. but below all the goooood stuff
