fair. i said in my comment, their plot has so much potential but became unmoving, kind of. I love me some slow burn but this was way to slow and in the main novel not much that what we seen happend and the interesting parts came in the extras which sucks because it was interesting. And Lele POV at the end was amazing. I was smiling my way tru that

Im sure you will enjoy it, when you get to read it. It has so much context for everything and everyone :-) if you want to read short, not the whole story, you can go for the extra chapters. Only knowledge u need for those is: happy ending already happend, this is what comes after:

chapters 97+98 is kind of hilarious tale of kiddos being kidnapped alongside hua young + ch 98 has whole scene from episode 14 (hospital, when ssy want to cut himelf). its originally here and its even better and more emotional

yep. me too. i guess im just tired of ppl behaving like teenagers. obviously show has 1st leads and 2nd leads and usually time distribution is according to that .... Enough said. But have u seen the Next Prince? The main CP was ZeeNuNew and additional 2 or 3 couples and the fights there was also something ...

Not the careers obviously but the perception of the show. I often look at the rating first, see comments and then deciding if it has tropes I like etc. If someone comes here ans see lower ratings it may be reason for ppl not watching it. And that affects all 4 of them + the whole cast. instead of gaining fans ppl may stay away + its highly immature.

so I just can´t help myself. Here is the main story ending from the novel (CH77). SSY is still preggo and they just had spicy time in the shower 🫣🫣🫣

Lowering the overall score because 2nd couple fans can not understand, that it projects negatively on their faves as well. Sab otaging their own ship lol. so ridicoulous. PPL should grow up

So here is my innitial shorter review 10/10. I loved everything about it and before you start pointing about second couple, please read below as there is my take on the 2nd couple.

Did it seems rushed? - yes, but it did not affect my enjoynment at all. As far as rushed or omitted things (intimacy scenes, wedding etc), editing, rushing its still important to remember that it is a Chinese production and many things may went crazy behind the scene (prime example was finale of Revenged love that was only 30 min and was visible it was heavy edited + they were scared of being cancelled so they aired last 5! episodes together) - here may have been something similar.

This my whole POV comes from someone who read the novel.

After watching episode 1 I immediately stopped watching and read the novel. I don´t mind it to spoil the show, as in this case, the context given was everything. I was captivated by Hua in the omega scene in his house, so I was full on watching for Hua and Shao You. I am team Hua all the way (bc of the contex I have from the book for both of them). Yes, his method was ruthless to the limit, BUT look what he gain (and get to Shao You) at the end: love, loyalty, family. they both never really had it. That´s why I have no problem to be on Hua side from day 1.

as for the second couple. Yes their story was not finished (its finished in the novel extras). Honestly they could have add more, but for some reason they decided not to (maybe extra episode? we will see). The main novel ends when Shao You is 6 month preggo and only mention of SWL is when he calls Hua complaining that Gao Tu is hiding. thats it. That did not affect my enjoyment, as I know how they end.

The problem for me is this: The idea of their storyline is great, is more on the "human" side of the omegaverse, where SSY and HY is more based in the fantastical "Enigma", BUT over the time the plot gets boring, in a sence that it gets repetitive, stagnant and unmoving, in a way. Wenlang is soooo dumb I skimmed the pages rolling my eyes and tried to get to the happy ending. Their story gets interesting AFTER the main novel only. I think if the writer cut some of the repetitive !omega hate"/GaoTus yerning and started the plot moving faster, it would be way better.

I think if anyone wants more context you really should read the novel, as it will provide context and the clarification of the secon couple happy ending. You can read here, if interested. well his 3yrs were full of hiding and suffering so i skimmed a lot of that. He had a alfa friend (ma heng)that help him leave and hide, that provided the soothing pheromons, but it was hard as compatibility was only around 60% (for loved one you need at least 80 i think). because of that Lele did not like alphas, because the pheromons were not his fathers (i think). he was in a coma and almost lost the baby but from top of my head i cant recall more misfortune. but below all the goooood stuff

Lele states that she often can smale sage (GT scent) and SWL (I dont remember what his scent is) and that everytime GT sees SWL hes blushing crimson and SWL wants "Whole meal" etc. Then Lele notiyes that dad is missing in the middle of the night going to the neighbor, its kinda cute and he think he will have to change his name From Gao Lele to Shen Lele. and thats for their story.

there is also extra extra scenes for both couples. In one they 4 going to dinner. SWL and SSY are waiting in the restaurant, kids and GT get kidnapped but SWL is not worries as Hua Young was kidnapped too and at the end they were only 45 min late. that was hilarious one lol

yeah agree, the novel ends like SSY is 6 month preggo right and all there is is from SWL "GT is hiding from me" if I remember correctly. TBH the storyline SWL/GT dragged in the novel extras as SWL is way to dum dum wolf there. Im happy with the whole season i was watching as Hua Yong is such a fascinating character. his methods are ruthless, but its all worth it at the end

if you have a feeling the ending was rushed, its good to think of few facts, that may be relevant.

its chinesee so god knows what they had to cut or work around (im not tyalking about storytelling now) like intimacy, portraying man/man dynamic, toning it down and other stuff.
i think i read it was suppose to have more episodes but ppl should be gratefull it ended and it was full BL
i remember with revenged love there were pretty real scare it will not finish at all so they releasted last 5 episodes alltogether

liking, or not, story and ending, plot wise, is up to everyone but if u not liking these kinda aspects just give them a grace as the censorship in china is no joke

soooo that was 10/10 for me. Loved every minute (+hated every minute with Gao Tu dad in it lol).

I love that they kept the SSY / his father convo in hospital, as it shows what asshat he is

Dady Wenlang did not grow brain cells until it was too late. I cried tru the restaurant scene here and in th novel as well
I was watching for the main couple (and read the novel) so im not bothered by the end for the second couple, its implied they are working on things. But I understand nd ML couple will not be happy
If we get some special episodes, i` ll take them with my grabby hands, if no, im fine too

but it is 10/10 series for me and it goes straight to my top 10
i need to sit on it and write longer, more coherent review but damn i loved it to pieces

IKR. Maybe there could be the restaurant scene, but all comes to head there????? we get rid of the dad and simplify the SWL/GT storyline, but on the other hand I love the lunapark scene and what is after, geez im torn in what to wish for these 2 idiots lol

i know and I have to say, even tho they changed the context and timing of that sxcene, im happy they incorporated it, as it shows the way HY see the notion of "being in pain". He does not really feel it or care for it, but seing SSY hurting is painful for him. Enigmas are different and I like the fact SSY at this point catching up on that and is able to deal with that situation the way he did. hopefully we will get LESS suffering and misery for 2nd leads (that was one thing i was not looking forward to see)
