He is a puppet emperor, and it makes sense because the puppet master will naturally want a prince that's timid and not dare to rebel against him. But of course the drama exaggerate it (to make it funny)😂

I've never read the novel so I'm not sure if it's from the novel or changed by the scriptwriter, but to me whitewashing Wei Yan at the end is a bad twist and failure to the plot. Suddenly the bad guy becomes good and it serves no purpose except to make the story/his character unbelievable. I would prefer just let the bad guys be bad guys.

This is basically an idol+romance drama great for people who love munching on CPs. The historical backdrop, court fighting and wars/battles are just decorations. 😂 I'm a guy who don't usually watch romance drama, but they did a great job and added quite the appropriate dose of comedy, and I didn't feel bored watching it to completion. 👍

It's going to be very exciting, cos there will be a border war plus Nangong Wan will have an upgraded look 😂

Good news for friends following the donghua. Starting from 14th Feb the donghua team will release an 8-episode behind-the-scene series each week, as something to fill in the gap till next season. Last episode ends in 1st week of April which is already Q2, so it is very probable that they will start the new season right after that. It's also made known that next season will have 26 episodes, from 177 to 202, starting with Han Li bride-napping and later a cultivation world war.
