Not once after the break up did the ML on his own tried to ever contact her. He wasn't even picking up her phone call. It was the ML's friend. And even then she called him to her by lying, because she knew he wouldn't come to see her otherwise.
He is confused by his own feelings for the FL whether they are real or not. And the SFL is just getting advantage of that confusion. ML is just sorry for her because she is potraying herself as the girlfriend who is innocent in all this. A kind and good hearted person, which she is definitely not. It's she who has betrayed him by keeping her true vicious personality a secret. This isn't some small secret too. And I am not even referring to the cheating that we saw in the 7th episode.
She was never the person she showed the ML.

I don't hv SML syndrome in this drama, but yeah I loved seeing him behaving like a teenager. 🥳 It pleasantly surprised me. He even looked younger. The smile on both boys' faces looked genuine. ❤️

As for that B our SFL, the moment she appeared at the FL's door I knew she was going to do that nasty deed. I wished at the time I could stop FL from stepping any closer to that B.😡

She was never a victim for me. It was shown through the FL's memory how SFL bullied her. That was a way to show audiences that she may look innocent but she has something bad hidden about her.

I think that's the USP of this drama. They will disclose this mystery as the story progresses. We will just have to go along with it to find out.

I wouldn't judge much from it. I don't think she knew he was going to kiss her. But it slightly bothered me too that she stayed in her place instead of pulling back. But that was director's way to make viewers understand that she too was beginning to have strong feelings for him. Enough that she was forgetting important things.
However consider this, what do we know, maybe she would have snapped out of it in the next moment. No one will truly know, because need for it didn't arise. ML blacked out drunk himself.
Let's give her benefit of doubt. Or we can keep making our assumptions 🌹😅

But as to second child being illegitimate is very possible normally when the mother has a secret affair, outside of marriage. It happens in real life many times. Cheating on your spouse.

I am rewatching the drama. Though we may be laughing at this, but the person who is suffering the most is the ML. Poor guy is actually being traumatised right and left. Loving someone with an intensity, yet a part of his brain telling him it's not real. He is jealous, possessive, burning to hold FL, yet can't because these can be fake emotions. However the agony of going through it is very real and painful to him.
He is even reduced to begging for her attention in so many scenes, but still fighting against it by being arrogant in the very next minute after literally putting himself at her mercy.
(In a beginning scene I missed the first time, he is literally begging her to come with him with both hands rubbing 👃, but upside down, so as not to make the gesture too obvious 💖. It melted my heart. Imagine how much he must be under these forced unwanted emotions to debase himself like that in front of a girl whom he thinks he doesn't even like, and that too when he admits it himself that he doesn't bow before anyone. )
I hope this dilemma is resolved quickly for the Mental and Physical health of Jang Shin Yu. 😉

I have the same hunch. These spells may not be working or somesuch. ML is not really under any love spell. What he is feeling are maybe his true feelings. FL and he are just destined to meet like this.

I won't go on abt the other stuff you said. But I would agree ML's personality was set from the start.
It is shown he is basically straight forward cold and rude to most people he isn't close to.
How he is being potrait so far is going along that line. Anyone who has that kind of aloof, prickly nature would react in the same way knowing that what he is feeling is not real but induced by some love spell. He would be frustrated and angered too at the person responsible, no matter if it was done by mistake.
It would take him time to adjust and come around to what had happened and accept it, or whatever the next step will be...
I hope his character is given growth for the better.
