Yes, her master is like a tense parent constently worrying about the safety of his or her baby. Wanting to put pillows around when they (the kid) first learn to walk. 🤣

Just watched ep 14 and at the beginning when Lei and Li fei meet their hands together the difference between the size of their hands was so adorable. 🥰

I see ep 13 ended with hint or glimpse of Lei XiuYuan's growing jealousy 🔥. I expect beginning of some angsty scenes ?

All cliché. Nothing new , BUT I did enjoy the drama. Good mix of angst and fun. Nice time pass.

You didn't get what I mean. Knowing pain or sadness VS feeling pain is different like night and day. Besides, I wasn't implying that she has no feelings. I was talking about senses. Hearing to be exact.
Playing notes that you know how to play 'Serial wise' and playing what you hear and feel is VERY different. Feeling and hearing what you are playing on an instrument gives Soul to that song or melody. Her playing it as I said key notes 'Serial wise' will be empty and souless.
And while humming she doesn't even have the help of some cue or notes to guide her, so it would be totally impossible, almost or nearly like tone deaf people. Even if she is some being with powers, she may have talents, but she is still 'Lacking', it is clearly the Crux of the show. Hero is there to complete her. She has disabilities.

I deduced as much that maybe she has learnt the notes. But still that wouldn't give you the perfect 'melody' that a learned person who can hear what he she is playing can provide. That would be robotic. Like someone giving a robot hand a stick and telling them to hit the drums after certain intervals and how many times.
And it would still not explain her humming. Humming comes from joy of heart, and what you haven't ever experienced, how can your heart emanate it?
I guess for this drama I have to switch off my thinking or I might not be able to enjoy it. 😄

Both couple's "romance" as you say is based on different factors. Main couple's is on emotional connection. They didn't fall in 'love' at first sight, it happened with each interaction day by day. While the second couple atleast on Qi Min's side it was strong attraction towards Qian, he probably sees her as his saviour. Physical intimacy is the only way he knows how to show his love. He never had anyone showing him how to form bond with emotions.

I second Blossom too by same director. Beautiful cinematography and story.

If you know, the history of plastic surgery in ancient India and China did exist as far back as BC. During that time (surprisingly for most people who are unaware) they did nose, ear , burn surgeries mostly for or on convicts who had their body parts cut as punishments. Though I would admit they wouldn't have looked as flawless as QM does. 😆

I am amazed he was nineteen or twenty at the time of shooting and yet have this much depth to understand his role of a creepy psycho. He is absolutely doing a great job. Everytime I see him on screen I feel anger for the character he is playing, and admiration for him as an actor.

That maid who fed QQ was too bold and unbelievably brave in defying a tyrant like QM's orders. The reason she gave seemed too light.

Actually it was not that uncommon at that era for kids that age to marry and have a baby of their own. It's just hard to imagine how a marquis and a country girl would have met at such a young age in such a far away land or small village.
