That moment was challenging. As the audience we can see how easy it was for the antagonists to use that to find…
Actually, GJS did mourn his Shifu. When he and LYR were discussing why Wang was murdering everyone if all he wanted was money and GJS said he'd make him pay for every life he took, GJS started naming off people, directly naming his Shifu (Master) as one the people to be avenged. Maybe it could be interpreted that GJS wasn't emotionally able to look back at that time. Master's death was a hard blow for me too, but I accepted it as a Master sacrificing for his student. Still...πππ

To me the whole sequence was contradictory. GSJ admitted he couldn't save his friend, but could only see him off. His friend, knowing his execution is a trap for GJS, proclaims that if GJS shows up, he would cosider GJS a fool and no longer a brother. GJS lets loose the sash, and the friend openly acknowledges it, instead of pretending not to see it, which brings it to the attention of the villain. WTH! I realize the shopkeeper, Mr. Wan, willingly made the sacrifice, HOWEVER, if not for GJS's action (releasing the sash), the sacrifice would never have been necessary. Up to that point, the villains thought GJS didn't come. Also, I don't believe for a second that GJS and LYR didn't know the shopkeeper would die if caught. They didn't go after him to check it out because they knew full well what the end result would be, their death, too. It was hard to see so many of the "good guys" be killed by the villains, but this particular death felt particularly cruel and unnecessary to me, because the fault wholly belongs to GJS. He could have just watched and snuck away, but NO! AND if Mr. Wan hadn't sacrificed, then LYR would have been caught...so much for protecting her, GJS!!! This is just my take on the sequence and my opinion. I really like the show, and won't stop watching it.; just this part didn't sit well with me.
I liked the GJS (ML) right up until he released the red silk sash, which cost Mr. Yan's life. I feel it was enough for GJS to be there, whether Yang WenChang knew for sure or not. IMHO, what Gu JiuSi did was selfish and endangered Liu YuRu and himself and ultimately required Mr. Yan's sacrifice. What's going to happen to Mr. Yan's family now? Grrrr! Gu JiuSi, you said you knew what was important, but you made 2 people die that day instead of just the one you couldn't save anyway!!!
***It's still an excellent show and well worth watching.***
Heβs got a great role in βA Date with the Future.β Here he was hopeless with his obsession and possession.…
I happen to be watching him in "A Date With the Future", too. I didn't recognize him, so decided to look up who this good young actor is and surprise! it's him. I'm really enjoying his performance in ADWTF, but his performance in this drama was so good, it broke my heart. πͺ
Just watched him in "A Girl Like Me". I think he did a great job portraying his character and looked good in the costume. Looking forward to watching his career progression. Shao Tian, fighting!
I loved this drama so much. The entire cast did an excellent job. I love that it was only 4 episodes. I love that it was a complete story, without unnecessary filler, but still didn't feel rushed, incomplete or disjointed. I love that the villians reap what they sow. I love that the ML realized he shouldn't give up on happiness and the FL realized she needed to be okay with herself to be okay with everyone else. The only part that made me a little like "wait, what?" was when the daughter found out they knew each other before. Instead of being like "So you already knew each other, is that why you wrote to me?', she jumped right to "So you already knew each other, does that mean you didn't write the letters?". Since her reasoning felt like it didn't make sense or fit with flow of the show up to that point and felt more like it was used just to push the story along, it was more noticeable. But even so, the drama moved right along smoothly after that, so it didn't ruin anything for me. This was such a refreshing change of pace. Please make more dramas like this.
After watching him in The Blessed Bride and Huang Shu Da Ren Jie Yuan Ba , I think he'd make a great Bai Zhihua in a remake of The Journey of Flower. Wen Yuan has that youthful, ethereal beauty, like the immortal described in the book, especially in his Cang Lan Ye costume. And Cavan's acting range seems strong and stable. I hope he receives some quality dramas soon.
Iβm in ep 3 yet can u spoil me what Yan Xinchengs real identity is ?
He is Yan Yi, the real Zhuang Xin Yan's brother. He survived the accident, grew up in an overseas orphanage, and is secretly seeking who killed his family.
I watched this for Fan Zhi Xin. I have enjoyed his performances in multiple dramas and his acting continues to improve with time. Overall, I think the drama was good, the story wasn't over cliched, and the chemistry between the entire cast was excellent. It was worth watching. *My one complaint was the how the villain was dealt with in the end. The villain caused the death of 3 people, which considering who those 3 people were, is unforgivable, imho.*
Just finished it and I loved it all the way through!!! The comedy, the romance, the drama/angst, and the themes of family, friendship, loyalty, forgiveness and redemption carried through each and every episode. Excellently written and perfectly performed. Bravo!!! Definitely on my re-watch list. My only lament is I would have preferred to see the twins reborn into human form and reunited with the guys, instead of just the π³, and the implied future. Then, imho, it really would have been π―% perfect!
Just finished episode 12 and I'm still loving the drama. I especially love that LiuLi actually killed the "would-be-rapist" kidnappers, instead of the usual "I'll slap them with a sword a few times to make them run away" scenario. Hua LiuLi was kickass! Love it! π
I am ready for the romance to start ramping up. I suspect that it's gonna start happening soon because he is going…
I really like the Crown Prince as a character, and I know he's the ML, but I really don't want them to be a couple. If she married Sergeant Han, she would be the main, and most likely the only, wife. If she marries the Crown Prince, she'll have to be part of a harem. She doesn't seem like the type of female character that would be okay with that. Take for example, in the scene where she tells her maid she will have Sergeant Han find the maid a husband after they are married, she wasn't like "and you can be his concubine, Sister". I hate, hate, hate harems and I hate any female character I like to be forced into one. *sigh*
I am so enjoying this drama! It's a lot of fun. I hope it can keep it up all the way through the 24 episodes. Jeremy Tsui and Meng Zi Yi are on point; I can feel their chemistry and MZY's performance matches and compliments JT's performance perfectly. Such a relief after ChongZi. Also, the supporting characters are just right. Su Meng Yun as Tian JiaMin and Yuan Wei as Prince Ying are great! I'm already rooting for their relationship. There is a scene in the closing credits of the FL and 3 supporting female characters sitting on a roof or bridge together, looking friendly, so I'm thinking this drama may be similar in vibe to "New Life Begins" in the sisterhood/friendship area, which would be awesome, because I love NLB. I'm just so happy!!!! Yay!!! *happy dance*
So..... why did zhuo hao's hair turn white???? nothing in this drama makes sense.
His hair only turned white at the loss of ChongZi, which I believe was a side effect from the Heart Poison he was infected with when he became a Demon. The HP was said to have detrimental physical effects on the body of the infected person. ZH had his love obsession reject him again, and then perish infront of him. I think it broke him. At least that's my opinion on the situation. π
