The main couple is so good to watch, but it's also the only worthwhile thing this drama has to offer.

btw, I get why some fans are drawn to YeXian - he's pitiful. that's it.

i must admit that even as someone who likes tragic endings, this seems to be unnecessary cruel for an ending. it's okay to let main characters die, but not in a way that makes you hate the "good" people.

i tried watching it but dropped it after the fight between CDL & Joseph Zeng in ep01.

the cinematography is beautiful, but I just have to the agree with others that the dramas of GJM have no true "soul".

Something is missing imo.

so far so good.
i like that there is not yet much romantic tension between the leads, but I'm looking forward to when the romantic part starts between them.
Can't also wait for He Simu to experience the 5 senses she's lacking.

I really liked the first episodes.

The relationship between the leads is "weird" and fascinating at the same time...

As someone who has not read the novel, I like the idea that the Ml is a beacon of light for the FL, who lived her life in "darkness."

+ The visuals are amazing.

I think this is the best role of Zhou Yiran. He’s amazing in Twelve Letter but I think this one is another level.…

I tried watching this show but put it on hold after ep02... I'm not interested in either the FL or Ml, which is unfortunate. I just watched twelve letters with Zhou Yiran and that's why I know he's good at acting, but his character in GTG feels flat, and same for the FL.

is it the directing? or the story? Or is it because it's needs to be an "Idol drama" and thus can't reach it's full potential?

The trailer and the promise of Zhou Yiran as Ml got me interested GTG in the first place, but now I'm just disappointed.

Title Twelve Letters Spoiler
Does anyone have any theories or know anything about who Shen's father is? I think everyone interprets it in their…
it's likely just a random guy. the audience never meets him because he's totally unimportant to the story.

Haitang probably only married him because she was determined to live a "normal life" like she promised to Xun, and Shen's father was the first guy she felt comfortable enough to settle down with. But at the end even that didn't truly work out.

Title Twelve Letters Spoiler
Xun making Haitang believe he's dead was a very radical decision on his part, but I can understand where he's coming from. He went to prison for murder and even though we understand why he did it, it will forever taint his life, and will make getting jobs harder for him. And Haitang would also have to suffer for this too - she would be married to someone who was in prison for murder, and with her wanting to be a teacher, she would have a tainted reputation too. So, as much as I wish he didn't fake his death, I can't blame for doing so, actually. He was very selfless and wanted to give his love a chance at life, even if it means that he has to lie.

the leads have good chemistry. i would like to see them together in another drama.

+ the Fl is a fantastic actress. I was also very moved by her performance.

Zhou Yiran is a really great actor, and he's still so young... I'm looking forward to his future projects.

twelve letters was fantastic. it deeply moved me.

People are mad because that ML threw away the papers? I would be more mad that FL lied to get a job and maybe took the opportunity from another mom who wanted this opportunity.

but the drama is no fun if we look at everything from a critical POV 🤷‍♀️

Title Dear X Spoiler
I've read the webtoon ending and I think AJin is someone who, no matter what, will never choose the path that could help her heal from her traumatic past.

And at the end, in the webtoon, when she tries to marry the CEO and Junseo ruins her plans - I actually think he saved her from a far worse fate.

Title Dear X
I see some people theorizing that Junseo was beginning to plot something against Ajin and Heo In Gang because of the scene where he watches their footage, but I actually think that he isn't plotting but is getting consumed by "darkness" = self pity, guilt, love, obsession, regret
