We have similar thoughts about this! Honestly the whining is annoying. I hate when people grade a drama unjustly .. I can agree with the poor portrayal of the crimes and investigative skills but the romance , really , this show practically had no romance. I am sure if the romance was bl they won’t claim it took away from the crime plot line??. I totally understand people who have such expectation if the novel the movie was adapted from is bl but like you said ITS ADAPTION and can be changed. Which is why I always read up on a movie before I watch it. I love movies with comedic tones. No matter what other genre/tags it is -crime, Action/detective/law/thriller/romcom or all together as long as it has a good plot line and it’s funny I am watching it

Bromance is not low key BL. It’s low key bl when the novel the movie is adapted from is BL but a regular movie can have bromance. It’s basically saying strong camaraderie between brothers not necessarily romance or hidden feeling. This is why I say find out about a movie before watching it. I love bls.. I am crazy about bl but I don’t go watching a romcom between ML and FL expecting bl. Even if this was BL the crimes still would have been disjointed and silly as they were.

That’s also what I do. I google a movie before I watch it, find out the genre and if it’s something I like I stick with it and if it’s not I stop watching it. We all know the drama is not that great (at all) , the crimes were greatly exaggerated, I mean I wonder who would go through all that just to kill someone without being a sociopath or psychopath and the motives at times did not make sense.
