Grandma is really having a heart attack once all the pieces fall into place with her situation with the two demon seeds. I mean, we know the Chairman goes to whichever is going to be a winning side for him. He does not love JDJ the way WYH loves her. He is infatuated in my opinion with her. Another thing he can own and possess. Granted JDJ is using him, and she was straight up about that, but the Chairman knows she doesn't nor will ever love him. He just doesn't want to admit it to himself. He thinks by helping her that he is gaining her love but that isn't happening.
