Episode 13 - Xi Jue meets to talk to her about Feng Jinghui (Dong Yi's soon to be ex-husband). She tells him that she has been single for about 6 months. That she did not ask for anything but to be free. And tells him that she has a boyfriend (lying) because he wanted to take her to dinner to thank her for helping.

I guess we are not the judge nor the jury. We are only on the outside looking in and can only consider what they each are feeling in our opinion. Do I totally understand what and how any of these parties felt? No. She was never a culprit. She was Xi Hui's daughter who never told where her father was. She never said otherwise. She didn't cause the explosion. She didn't hurt the workers. She was pulled in by association because of her father that is all. They cannot persecute her for not telling her where he was. But Zhao knows right and wrong and her playing video games is neither here nor there. Again, she is NOT her father's keeper. She is pretty much dying, and she knows what her father did was wrong. Sure, she was wrong in protecting, but was she? Again, that was her father. If you notice, it took her time to make the choice to tell Xi Jue where her father was. I believe that she finally came to that decision because she looked at the bigger picture.

I really don't care for either Dong Yi or Nan Yi. Yes, Dong Yi has proclaimed numerous times about her behavior, attitude, but she never does anything to correct it. She feels as though people have to deal with what she dishes out but when it is reverse, she shuts down and lashes out. Just like Chen has tried to tell her numerous times what happened, and she just doesn't want to hear it. Lack of maturity on her part. Just like Leng Shan said, she acts like a child. Xubei in some instances is more mature than her. It's really pass time for her and Nan Yi to grow up. As I stated in my earlier strand for episode 31 & 32, I believe she has matured but she still has room to grow.

Jiang Yi needs to just stop and get off the Xi Jue train. He is NEVER going to change. She knows it is time to let him go but she is still hanging onto that one shred of hope which will diminish just as quick as she thought about it.

I hope so. Between Ding Yi Feng and Chen Qi Rang both so disgusting. I mean the way that Ding Yi Feng was literally groping Mei Mei his assistant was ridiculous. He deserved that punch and then some. I hope, like you said, there are no misunderstanding once the dust settles. I think all these men are pretty much threaten by her because she won't put up with their bs.

Episodes 31 & 32

Well, Xi Jue rips up Uncle Bin's divorce agreement. The family all meet to discuss helping Zhao who is Xi Hui's daughter, the partner of Uncle Bin. She is really sick. Nan Yi is totally against it because the family has sacrificed so much. She felt as if them selling off everything to help pay back the families was nothing and where were they getting the money to pay for putting Zhao in the hospital. But Uncle Bin had the say, and he said they would help her.

For some hellbent reason, Xi Jue just doesn't want to let it go in helping Zhao out. Dr. Chen is the physician assigned to take care of her. He has just a matter-of-fact personality that rub Xi Jue the wrong way. He tells him he has no compassion because he said she probably on has 3 months to live. He told him that didn't he care that she was on the roof and could have killed herself (which she told Xi Jue she wasn't, he embellished) and that is the same when Dong Yi was when he did her wrong.

Zhao checks herself out and ends up staying for a while at Uncle Bin and Aunt Lin's place.

Meanwhile, Nan Yi sees her old classmate that like her husband Su and she tells her that he asks her to help him get what he needs to go aboard. Nan Yi meets with the woman that she sold the apartment too and ask for one last night for her and Su. Nan Yi faces up to the fact that they can do everything together as long as they talk about things. She tells him that she is ok with him going aboard and she will join him once things settle down with her dad because she doesn't like long-distance relationships. I still don't care for her, and I wish they would stop calling her "Little Rabbit." She is past that. I feel she is still lacking maturity but getting better.

Zhao went to the lawyer and ask about the money. It was still there, and he hadn't spent it. She told her to tell him that her disease was incurable and to give the money back. She gives her papers to show him. She also stops and a Chinese place for medicine to see if that would help. She went with Nan Yi and Xi Jue for some time to see the mountains, flowers, etc.

Dong Ni faces the reality that Han was no longer interested in her because he was very evasive when he was doing some work for her when she asks him to have dinner. He said his mother introduced him to someone. So, she knew that was the end of that. He could no longer be used as her shield. Xi Jue came over all drunk after Zhao moved back to her father's place and told him she didn't want to see him. Xi Jue is trying to make her last wish come true by seeing her father one last time. Dong Ni goes to see Chen and ask him to give Zhao a bed. He tells her it would be unnecessary for her to have one since she is going to die anyway. He tells her he has rounds but hears a nurse in the hall saying someone was attacking Chen. Dong Ni goes out and starts hitting a man only to get cut in her neck. Chen tells her he is fine. He then FINALLY gets to tell her what happened and why he left her.

His mother had died, and his father was given 25 years in prison. He explained that the day they argued is the day he left because his father was afraid, they would come after him and his mother. He called her to tell her, but he said since she was mad, he knew she wouldn't answer. He left money for her and waited at the airport for her to call but she never did.

Xi Jue tells Dong Ni that Jiang Yi is coming to town for work. But really, he tells her to take him back to Beijing to work.

I am interested to hear the rest of his story and why he is so abrasive. Chen really just acts like he has no feelings. Dong Ni did take and play the fob that had the pictures and videos of him and Xubei. Maybe that changed her mind along with Xi Jue being so crushed about Zhao. She still cares you can tell for him.

It is good to see that Nan Yi and Su are still holding strong even though his mother is a pain with always bringing up about her getting pregnant. Just stop already. That isn't anyway to hold a marriage together. I am glad to see that he is on the same page.

@LimYoon_#CA2 I'm thinking it might have been that they worked in the same company or something. She didn't want to be with him, so he went and married the other woman that her dad might have had a company that he wanted to get in and gave him a good title. I'm thinking it might have been along the lines I mentioned because she asks him since she did him that favor at the party, where was his dad to do the operation on her son. So, he knew she had a son. Thoughts?

yeah, Enigma is right we both are looking what caused this. I'm thinking something happened at the last company she was in and he was there too. Maybe she rejected him or something and just married that other chick in a rebound because her dad had money. Not sure but can't wait to find out.

We don't know what happened 5 years ago, but you saw the opening scene where he made her do that whole seducing him in front of his wife. She also did that so that his dad would operate on her son.

The reason why Uncle Bin is responsible is because he is the legal representative for the company. They do have evidence that Xi Hui the partner did sign for everything, and that Uncle Bin did not know that he bought inferior equipment but that still doesn't make a difference at this point. They need to calm the families down, and since Uncle Bin is the legal representative, he has to compensate all the victims both medically and monetarily.

The message I believe the writers are saying, is yes, he is an honest man, trying to make an honest living but this is what happens even if you are trying to get ahead in the world. The culprit was caught, and they wanted to show possibly that there are still honest people in the world you would hope, but in this case, not necessarily so. Things always happen to mess you up and take you down. I believe this is just a disaster that was written in to show you how families come together when things go wrong. Everyone is willing to make a sacrifice to fix the problem no matter what.

Xi Jue I believe was thinking about his family and seeking justice. He wanted to see if he talked to Xi Hue 1-1 that maybe he would admit what he did as well as tell him where the money is. I don't think he was trying to take anyone's side but play mediator to diffuse the situation. Yes, Dong Yi called the police, and Xi Jue was upset because she did not give him the opportunity to see if he could get further with him telling him the truth about everything before the police came. He believes this was a missed opportunity.

Dong Yi always acts rash and impulsive. Xi Jue was, again trying to see what, if anything he could do without involving the police yet. He feels as though Dong Yi sees him as useless and spineless. She felt as though he would not be able to persuade him, so she took the initiative to call the police without giving him that chance. Xi Jue was also upset because he had given Zhao his word that he wouldn't turn her father in. Xi Jue is one that lives by his word, and he was upset on both counts. Uncle Bin, the families, his family, Jiang Yi, and Zhao. This is a lot of burden that HE takes on himself, that is just his makeup. That will never change for him. So, yes, he was angry because I believe not only was he going to find out about everything but persuade him to turn himself in.

I think that you are misrepresenting Zhao in your opinion with comparing her to her father. Everyone is responsible for themselves. Zhao was caught in between. She is NOT her father's keeper. I believe her "tough girl" attitude is based off of she knows what her father did was wrong, and she does understand but it is so hard. Yes, she should have told them about her father but, it really was not her responsibility to report her father. She is like anyone who would have a family member do something and have to report them. You are surrounded by guilt. She loves her father. I think she in her own way was thinking about all that he did and knew he had to go to jail, but again, it was hard to admit all of this to herself. Her father in her eyes is the man that raised her and loves her. She has no one else. Can you imagine the burden that was put on her to turn in her own father, which eventually she did tell Xi Jue where he was to resolve all of this. This was not HER burden but became hers. That is a lot for someone of her age and also being sick.

Jiang Yi is she really that mature? If she was then why is she not admitting to herself and telling Xi Jue it is over. He isn't going to change where his family is concerned. He isn't going to go back to Beijing. Where is her maturity and letting him go and being frank and honest not only with herself but him. Stop playing this game of moving forward with the adult center knowing full well that he is not going to head back to Beijing in my opinion. This family dynamic is everything to Xi Jue. Just like Jiang Yi said, "when will you put me first." He never will and if she is willing to accept that fine, but if not, she just needs to once and for all admit that he isn't and let him go.

I am sorry but I am loving Cao Mu and Chen Jia Jun. He is hilarious. He so into her that it is too much. I wonder what he is up too though. Who is he looking for?

But Xin Qi is too much. The family of all of them is just too cute. I'm loving this feel-good drama. Poor Zhou Ruji. He just needs to give it up. No chance with her.

We finally see that he admits to being the father in episode 16 when Lin Xi Que from the other company calls her out at the party. I can't stand her. She is fooling around with Cheng Qi Rang. But he is going to get his when Xin Qi finds out what he did to her.

I have NEVER called my parents by their first name except when introducing them but other than that I never did. Interesting.

Can anyone explain to me why Quanquan calls her "mommy" only rarely but calls her "Mui Hui" most of the time?

Episode 29 - 30

What a turn of events.

So, everyone is selling off everything to cover the expenses for Uncle Bin and the explosion at the factory. Dong Yi sold off her cafe and Nan Yi and Su sold off their apartment. Aunt Lin finds out that Nan Yi has sold her apartment and she goes ballistic. She is mad at all of them for doing what they that until she mentions divorcing him. Uncle Bin is now going to sign a letter of divorce from Aunt Lin, so she won't be implicated, which she is visibly upset.

Dong Yi keeps hiding behind Han so that she doesn't have to deal with Chen. He had a hair from Xubei, and he knows he is the father. Dong Yi has not let him still explain to her why he left her all those years ago. (I believe the Xi Jue is going to find out the answer and tell her.) She still doesn't know that they have spent time together at the amusement park, eating, etc.

Han made the mistake of calling Xubei his daughter which scared Dong Yi, so she is still trying to distance herself from him, but she is not succeeding because she uses him, when she has too.

Nan Yi and Su have moved into his parent's place which is going to be hard for her because the mother doesn't like her and keeps pushing for them to have a baby. Su at least has been strong with telling them to back off because they are still too young to have children. This is really going to strain their marriage and relationship.

Xi Jue is having a crisis of taking too many sleeping pills since he left there. He finds this out because he hears the conversation that Dong Yi and Jiang Yi have because she is wondering when he will return. Zhao whose father Xu Hui, was the partner for Uncle Bin was finally caught and arrested only to put the blame back on him. Hence everyone selling what they had. Zhao is sick and Xi Jue is feeling responsible for her since she has no one else. Jiang Yi ask him if he wants to take care of her because she is back in Beijing getting the adult center ready. Gao came back to check out the site and Jiang Yi said she did not know when he would return. He said the investor would like to see some return on his investment.

It is getting more and more complicated.

I totally agree with you. I think he keeps saying you are my sister but you see how she acts towards him and him to her. That is why you question their relationship.

Right. They were trying to mislead us by insinuating that Dong Yi and Xi Jue would be a couple. By the looks of it that won’t happen if she gets back with her ex. But who knows. They are wearing us out! 😂

Quanquan is just too adorable. I cannot wait until episode 11 and seeing Cao Mu and Chen Jia Jun in the bathtub! These two...the tension between them is too much!

Wow, now this was interesting...episode 27 & 28!

- Well Uncle Bin has a factory that there is an explosion that injuries a lot of workers. The partner takes off with all the money because he bought faulty valves which caused the accident. The family is now all pulling money together to help with compensating the families as well as paying doctor expenses.

- Nan Yi and Su are having issues with their marriage because of both families pressuring them to have a baby. Su's mother wants her to not work at the construction company but take a desk job which she doesn't want to do. She has told the family they can sell their apartment to help pay bills. Su's parents after they leave just talk down about Nan Yi and telling them that they want him to focus on his career and they never wanted him to marry her. He of course says nothing.

- Xi Jue is in Beijing and came back home to visit and has not left due to the explosion. He tells Jiang Yi that he can do the adult courses online and it will not disrupt their plans for starting a business. He finds the location of the partner of Uncle Bin, and it is Zhao's father (the girl from high school that accused him of something stupid) and he ask her where he is at. She won't tell him. Nan Yi calls to tell him a fight has broken out at the hospital, and Uncle Bin is hurt. Xi Jue goes into the hospital and runs into an ER doctor Chen. He tells him to just find a wheelchair or something to bring him in. Meanwhile he has a gash in his arm. The nurse has him ready for Dr. Chen just as Dong Yi comes in. She recognizes her ex-husband that is Xubei's father.

- Dong Ni went on a blind date with Mr. Han which wasn't all that great. She goes to the bank to see if she can get more money on Aunt Lin's and Uncle Bin's house, but he tells her he cannot offer her anything more money. Dong Ni sees her ex-husband, and this causes her to reminisce about their past relationship and how she went to the conservatory but did not pass. She went to see the movie Titanic and that is how she met Chen. He gave her a tissue in the movie thinking she was crying about it, but it was really not passing the conservatory that was making her cry. She remembers him asking her if she was 21 and he wanted to get married. He came from money, so they had an apartment because his parents had given it to him. Everything was good until he had to go to America for school. Dong Ni, he told her if she could give him time because his mother was sick and also, they did not accept her. She puts her ring on the table and left the restaurant. He goes to American and leaves cash on the table and tells her just to go back home. At that moment she finds out she is pregnant.

- Xubei is at the age she wants to know who her father is, and Dong Ni will only tell her he is an admirable man. Xi Jue tells her not to hate her father just because of how her mother feels. She goes to Chen to ask him to fix "Cola" because his cotton was coming out. He gives it to her but told her that she needed to get rid of the bear and make friends. She tells her she has psychological issues, and she would not make friends until, again, she got rid of the bear. She cries and he cleans up what he says somewhat and makes "pinky swears" he won't tell her family about her issue.

- Chen after speaking with Uncle Bin finds out she has a cafe. He had promised her when they were married that he would get one for her. He goes to the cafe and don't you know Han is there fixing something in the restroom. Dong Yi uses that to give the impression that he is her husband and that he is the father of Xubei. He of course has no reason not to believe her. He tells her that he is glad she has everything that she ever wanted. She asks if he is married, and he says he is not.

But Xubei went to the hospital the next day and told him he had promised not to tell her mother about her psychological issue. He said he didn't. She asks if he was pursuing her mother. He said how could he with her father right there. She told him that wasn't her father, and her mother has been divorced for 3 years. He tells her lets go have something to drink in his office. He asks her if her last name is "Zheng." She says no it is "Wang" after her grandmother. He said your birthday has to be near the end of the year. She said how did you know that...it is December 24th, 1999.

So, guess what? He now knows he is her father...what is going to happen now? Will she get back with Chen? Will Leng Shan show up? Will Jiang Yi and Xi Jue make it because of what happen with the family? Will Nan Yi and Su have a marriage that will survive due to outside interference?

No...doesn't happen.
