Well a severe case of alcoholism can’t be cured just by giving one of your bottles to a homeless. It’s sad that through the whole drama we see how Mr Gu drown all his sorrows and problems with liquors and always feels that he’s justified to do it. Even Mi Jeong just accepts it as normal and only asking about it at the last minute.
Whatt? So Tae Hoon has been stringing Gi Jeong along for the past 3 years? Even after she asked him to marry her? And he didn’t even stand up for her when his sister bullied her.
I love it that the writer doesn’t make Yeoung Hui a genius just because she has a disability. Like a savant autist person. Because some people who’s ignorant will make a generalization that all disabled people are like that. Instead the writer emphasized that Yeong Hui is a brilliant artist because she’s lonely. She draws when she’s lonely. And we can imagine how many lonely hours she spent in drawing all those portraits. And that’s what lots of people with disability feel most of the time. The writer really did her research thoroughly and she really understands what she’s telling about.
If they started with Kim Woo Bin-Han Ji Min storyline this drama will probably get a better rating, rather than the Cha Seung Won one which discouraged other viewers. But I’m not dissatisfied, I’m sure the writer has her own reasons. I still enjoy each and every episode.
Is it worth the slow pace ? I am usually impatient but I really want to watch it.
I don’t think it’s slow. It’s just that there’s so many layers in every storyline. The drama taking its sweet time to explore each character. It is def worth it.
