Sorry, I posted it here looking for an answer from someone who has read the book & watched the show.

But what happens in the book? I've not read it - how does he recognize her? Or does he not recognize her in the book?

I've read that in the book she gets transported into a new body but in the drama they switch places. My question is: How does this affect the plot with Duke Su / Xiao Heng? Does he still recognize her? Their connection in the drama seems to stem from him noticing her.

Hello! Fellow drama watcher here! I have a question for someone who's read the book and watched the drama.

I'll post it below this comment under a spoiler tag, but the question only spoils episodes 1-2 I think.

This is reminding me of the dramas I used to love years ago. A rom-com with a murder mystery side plot. Have been laughing out loud every episode so far!

Considering no others were mentioned, and how the sequence was played, I think it's the same one that was discovered. Unless they've purposefully missed out some scenes do to a reveal later?

Throwing my two cents in; I've been in a huge kdrama slump these past few years and not many releases have held my attention till the end. Whilst I can't predict this will be another drama I finish, I'm really enjoying it so far.

It's pretty much a comedy with a side serving of crime, so if that's not your cup of drama, give this a pass.

Slow start but I'd say it starts picking up by episode 8 and it's still going at episode 18. Solid pacing and some good angst.

The CGI isn't bothering me as much as the pacing is personally. Like CGI isn't that bad, I've seen a lot worse lol

I'm not expecting another tteotm, that wasn't my point. I was just expecting it to be of a higher quality than it was. I've seen other dramas, not each one is going to be for all of us?

I watched the first ep just now and the pacing on this one seems more rushed. Not holding a candle to tteotm (yet)

Eh, watched the first episode (Youku put it on YT already) and it's just so-so for me. Not sure if this will filled the tteotm shaped hole in us ;v;

I've purchased the first two volumes in English and dang, I have no idea how they'll make this not gay because the angst is SO strong in the novels 😭
