I really dislike this stupid Tong Hua. Does she thinks that she knows everything about people? What gives her…
It's the Chinese way, criticize people publicly till they capitulate. Useful when used on people you have authority over. Not a smart thing to do with strangers who can retaliate . And it does not look like she has supervision powers over any of the patients either.

Two badly written characters - Tang Hua on team Xiao Yan and Chen Xi on team Bai Shu, and even worse…
Chen Xi is already weak with skills and the moment his skills got a little better he decides to spend all that energy to chase after a girl who isnt interested in him. And he is horrible at it.

DNR isnt Taboo in China. It's used everyday. This show is just unrealistic and constantly philosophizes everything…
I like the show too but the guy's problem wasnt even just DNR. It's basically pallitative or hospice care. This show is basically saying that terminal cancer patients should continue to take on harmful procedures like chemo and surgery just to extend their life. The constant you cant give up until the end speech is said so many times. There is no way this show doesnt know palliative care exists in China. Even outside of Cancer we have people dying of old age and probably would need palliative care than just treatment after treatment.

Just finished episode 17. The current case has been super frustrating and sad to watch, as I didn’t realize…
DNR isnt Taboo in China. It's used everyday. This show is just unrealistic and constantly philosophizes everything and lectures everyone about the sanctity of life while all the people are put into the background. The fact the guy even threatened to sue to Bai and he just ignores him is not real at all. Not to mention the guy has terminal cancer and Bai just tells him that he is going extend his life. Xiao is doing the same thing tell the guy to keep live on. What part of terminal cancer dont they understand

How is it,,? So far so good? Similar with medical k-drama or western,?
Cant compare to the K drama, but to western, you know this thing in extreme situations, people start to communicate with emotions, gestures, facial expression and maybe sometimes trying to be more comforting. Chinese drama has this thing where even in the extreme situations the professionals have to use professional words, in a complete sentence, explaining a situation like a robot to someone else who is emotionally distraught. A doctor here during a medical emergency will try to explain and list hospital rules and regulations to the family member. Basically it turns into lecturing and philosophizing. How many times do they have to go into speech about the value of life and death right after an event where all of the crazy stuff that happened a minute before just goes quiet while they go on and on

Tang Hua is so fucking stoopid. It took me five seconds to realise the father wasn’t biologically related to…
I have forgotten how blunt and straightforward people in China could be, even in professional settings. The dad is poor. Everyone keeps blaming him

On episode 4 right now. The nerdy student guy is getting annoying. Every scene he is either scared or he is sucking to Bai.

Person Liu Yi Jun
He plays these old villains in costumer dramas and they make him look fat. Now he is older and in modern dramas, he is thin and fit.

Unpop opinion: I don't care if they replace Li Qin or Xiao Zhan in the 2nd season. Li Qin is the blandest female…
Not unpopular at all.

In the novel she becomes the enemy but who keeps losing to Ning Yi no what she tried. In the novel she was also…
She is kind of the villain that keeps on coming back more powerful but keeps losing. She hates men but then blames the world for making women weak so she keeps joining worse and worse men to serve them all for revenge. She actually has 2 brothers in the novel. The drama combined them both. But both of them are basically psychopaths. Her whole family is messed up. She was already married in the novel to a matriarchal husband and constantly hooked up with bookworm soft and pretty men because it is easy to control them. Ning Yi at the time was already killing people left and right, so she was attracted to him initially cause he was like this adventurous bad boy trapped in a pretty boy's body.

Yeah! But see also the title , "My Heroic Husband" , so it is mostly about the husband. Plus, the writer, I mean…
In the novel the Su family is basically destroyed by the manager who betrayed them. He joined up a bunch of different bandits and killed off half of the family, and several of the bad cousin betrayed the family. In the end the family is split and Su Taner / Ning Yi became the new head of the house. So now no one really can stop his harem.

What happens to XiGua in the end?
In the novel, Xi Gua's dad is killed by this other bandit/cult/sect who the current bandit cult broke off from. So it's not govt that killed her dad, not directly. There was this power struggle and the current bandit leader and his brother beat their leader and left them. I know the show keeps hinting the current bandit head may have done it, but no, not like that.
The current bandit leader in the novel is killed off screen by the military who chased after him. His death is blamed on Ning Yi again.

What happens to that childhood friend of Tan'er in the end?
In the novel she becomes the enemy but who keeps losing to Ning Yi no what she tried. In the novel she was also assaulted by the bandits. She basically hates all men except Ning Yi who she has these weird nightmares/sexual fantasies about. She is pretty nuts at that point.

What happens to Xigua in the novel? (I fall for her since I watched the trailer)
Ning Yi's entire motivation in the novel running from place to place is to protect his wives who are in different places. Thats the theme of the novel. All the wars, saving the country, make money etc etc is to build this utopia where he can live in peace with his wives and their family, which encompasses a lot of people
