Episode 18.. i seriously can't stand his sister :/
I'm with you. I find her a bit lacking in the personality dpt. and that demented smile is seriously testing my patience. Fortunately she has fewer active scenes later on.

Title Yes, the False Judge Spoiler
Quite entertaining, too bad the episodes are so short. Overall this is a lighthearted drama, with a bit of suspense…
And most importantly, it manages to steer clear of quite a few C-drama tropes, such as the dopey FL, the almost obligatory misunderstandings leading to breakup between the main couple storyline and the rushed ending.

On Light Chaser Rescue Nov 13, 2022
Iโ€™m by now on ep.31 and Iโ€™m going to say something very unpopular (judging by the previous comments on this site).
For me, so far the best couple are DingDing and MingMing (yes, despite the stupid names).
Their initial bickering and playing tricks on each other was light-hearted and amusing, but after the cave rescue they both realised their true feelings and acted accordingly.
DD may be a bit immature and do stupid things because of her lack of experience/guidance, but I was really impressed by the way she stood up to the domineering mother-in-law. After already being rejected by her own parents (who clearly prefer her cousin) this second rejection would destroy more than a few people, yet she keeps her spirit. For me she is a strong young woman who will make her way regardless of adversities even if occasionally she makes mistakes, she will be able to take them in her stride. MM supporting her against the wishes of his mother also shows a certain strength of character which (in this kind of situation) is rare in C-drama.

Luo Yuan and Xiong Fei are just soooo syrupy sweet that I feel very tempted to press fast-forward for fear or getting diabetes just by watching them. This type of dream-love may ok for teenagers, for me it just feels off.

As for the Luo Ben-Zhan Yan couple, their relationship is so cold that half of the time Iโ€™m not even sure that they are together. ZY remains unable to express her feelings, even when she is clearly uncomfortable with the threat of the omnipresent assistant. It is clear that LB loves her very much but his behaviour alternates between childish jealousy, needy insecurity and pretend indifference. He says he would be ok with a long-distance relationship, but frankly, I donโ€™t see it as this would need a much more mature mindset.

Donโ€™t get me wrong, the acting is superb, but the relationship is a bit meh.

This type of on-off relationship seems to be a must for C-dramas whereas in reality, very few adult relationships work like this. The reasons for these break-up are almost always ridiculuous or not in line with the leads' character.
I really don't understand the need for this added-on conflict, it's not like life doesn't already have enough drama, especially in the case of the LCR rescue team.

I HATE rushed endings! Is it really asked for too much to let us savour on-screen happiness for a whole (last) episode??

I hate this misunderstanding btwn ZY & LBโ€ฆ.But I hate ZY nowโ€ฆ. selfish iceberg. Idiot in relationship, unless…
I'm way behind you... only on ep. 23 so far (the world is still happy).
LB's little fit of jealousy in the hospital clearly shows that our 30-year-old virgin isn't as mature when it comes to relationships as he may be for the more practical aspects of life. So maybe it's not all ZY's fault... I may change my opinon later, but so far I find her a bit reserved, but sweet and understanding towards her boyfriend.

Looks interesting, but I hope they will put a bit more effort into the EN subtitles. As they are now the dialogue is barely comprehensible...

Very interesting, especially the bit about not scaring people with too realistic and tense rescue scenes. I like this approach but it is very different from that of any Hollywood production where rates go up with every sensational and gore-filled scene.
This also explains why some people who are more used to this kind of drama feel disappointed about LCR.

When you look at how doctors are trained and selected you will understand that emotional intelligence is not on the curriculum.

When I left school, it required top-of-the class marks and a heavily maths based entry test to even qualify to study medicine. This meant no halfway "normal" person could get in. Nowadays people complain that doctors are so cold and calculating... well, we reap what we sow.

That being said, I guess when you're surrounded by suffering and dying people everyday it is necessary for doctors to shut off some of their empathy (if existing) as otherwise they would not be able to survive.

In ZY's case add to this the fact that during her childhood she suffered a trauma involving her two closest relations (loss of her mother and disappointment in her father). Without any help to overcome this double trauma it would be normal for her to avoid having any deep feelings for another person for fear of suffering a similar trauma again.

So in conclusion, you may find ZY unbearable to watch, but her character is coherent with her backstory.

There are far greater risks related to being overweight than to being underweight. However, the policital-correctness league will scream whenever they suspect "fat-shaming" whereas looking down on skinny people under the pretext of "concern for their health" is still very much en vogue.
If you ask me it's all jealousy because I can eat a tablet of chocolate a day and they gain weight just watching me ๐Ÿ˜ˆ ๐Ÿ˜ˆ ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

LB & ZY mature relationship in the eyes of LYX, WQ and LCR Team https://weibo.com/tv/show/1034:4831878444941388?from=old_pc_videoshowSummary:Lb…
I didn't understand a word... but it was nice to watch anyway. Yes, real relationships are difficult, otherwise everyone could do them.
I guess people are too spoilt watching the fluffy relationships portrayed in most dramas where all the conflicts come from outside elements (misunderstandings, love rivals, etc.) whereas in reality most conflicts in relationships arise from a clash of personalities.
