I’m loving this series. I was a big fan of Eternal Love but it is moving a bit slower than I’d like and not really seeing a point to the mortal realm. Hopefully there’s a reason for it. Judging from the spoiler for eps 31-40, it doesn’t look like a lot is happening and they are staying in the mortal realm.

There is a YouTube video that discussed the alternate ending that the author had which was that LCY let XF leave back to her home.

Personally I think this ending was fitting. At the end of it, he simply did not love her more than his revenge and she simply had no one left to live for and could never be free because he wasn’t going to let her go.

This drama is totally worth watching to the end. Even though the affection isn’t there. You will see clearly that he loves her very much.

I totally agree with you. I have watched up to ep36 now and he doesn’t get any better. Basically LCY has the best of intentions but it always hurts XF the most. That is not love, it’s just self serving and ultimately it’s for his revenge so he has no issue killing a bunch of people for it.
