okay the promotion for this drama is way better than newtopia. i know the streaming sites were different, but…
It makes sense that the promotion is better this time. The drama’s genre is romance, and this genre consistently performs extremely well on Netflix worldwide. Not promoting it properly would be a major misstep, especially considering it’s a Netflix original and marks BLACKPINK Jisoo’s first full-fledged romantic lead role- that alone is more than enough reason to push it heavily.
Chill out. Stop calling folks Haters because they expressed their opinion about the show being bad. Shin min ah…
Chill out, babes. There are way more people who have expressed opinions about the drama being good than what you’re claiming. As for the acting, that’s just you and the haters, because people who have actually given constructive criticism of the drama are talking more about the pacing and CGI issues, which will mostly probably get resolved in upcoming episodes, not the acting aspect.
Also, it’s not right to judge a drama this fast with just two episodes out—but yeah, haters will hate no matter what. FYI, you might not like it, but MDL is not the only space on this earth where people discuss dramas. Widen your horizon, babes.
And it’s disappointing how you’ve concluded your personal opinion as a “matter of fact.” What you’re saying is plain subjective judgment, not facts.
Kindly check the meaning of facts before calling anything and everything a “fact.”
I will be signing off so if incase you want to revert back plz be free but I won't be reading. Hasta la vista babes👋
i was excited for this show as I was a fan of Shin Min Ah's My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. but i am not a fan of Lomon,…
I’m literally tired of this nonsense. If you’re a fan of someone, go praise them in the spaces meant for them—no one’s stopping you. I hate having to respond this way, but this is getting way out of control and needs to be said. It’s honestly pathetic how some people are still stuck in 2024.
Want to talk about the drama? Go ahead—good or bad, it can be discussed as long as it’s constructive and objective. But why bring people who have absolutely zero connection to this drama into the conversation? It genuinely makes me question how much jealousy and hate some people carry inside them.

It’s 2026 woman, 2024 has been long over. If you’re still stuck there, get some help, seriously. And talk about your fave on their own pages instead of here. If you want to discuss the drama—good or bad—use some sense and don’t bring in people who are completely irrelevant to this drama or the conversation.
Also, KHY can carry a show entirely on her own. As the lead, she fully carries her projects—just as she did in LR, her previous works, and now NTTT. She doesn’t rely on famous co-stars to elevate her performance instead she helps them bring out their best; her skills speak for themselves. Her upcoming projects show that her company is doing a good job, letting her choose roles that highlight her range across multiple genres and characters—not just as a CF model or a surface-level actor.
Lomon has lot of potential as an actor and he is doing pretty good here considering his young age and experience in the industry.
And again, seriously, move on, 2024 is over—free everyone from your stupid possessions and comparisons.
Don’t bother replying and say I wasn't hating on actors or anything, your condescending tone is very clear.
The fl can only be his concubine. Joseon would never allow a crown prince marry a slave. No Disney stories in…
I don’t think that will be possible with Eun-jo, even if the ML is just a grand prince. She is a widow now, and that status is extremely difficult to escape—especially in Joseon. It might have been possible for her to become a concubine or something similar if she were merely an illegitimate child of a high-status family, but she is a widow, and once that label is attached, even her father wouldn’t be able to do much because of the rigid norms of the era. I honestly don’t know how the main leads are supposed to end up together—unless they plan to run away. Let’s see; the writer must have something in mind.
Loved the first two episodes. The way the characters were described, along with Eunho’s mystic world, without giving away too much was a smart creative choice. It invites the audience to form their own assumptions and piece together a possible synopsis of the storyline as it moves forward. Let’s see how the story unfolds.
I'm kind of divided about watching this drama. I feel that KHY has been kind of typecast into a character that's…
There are over 50 million people in Korea, and God knows how many of them are named “Woo Seok.” Even within the industry alone, there are multiple people with that name. Please—go Google it. It’s an extremely common male name in Korea.
People like you are one of the biggest problems on the internet—dragging up irrelevant nonsense that adds nothing to the discussion. Get a life.
And the way you claimed all her roles are “similar” just screams that you haven’t actually watched any of those dramas properly. You’ve clearly just skimmed through TikTok, Instagram, or Twitter clips and came here to bark.
Move on. No one has time for this level of ignorance.
i think the plot became convoluted a little too early. The acting is fine but in the end there is currently 0…
Obviously the chemistry right will not be strong it's just two episodes also they hardly know each other they just know each other names nothing more than that.
Question: Is Kim Hye Yoon considered a good actress? I have seen two of her shows and it looks to me like she…
As for your question: Kim Hye-yoon is regarded as one of the best actors of her generation in Korea and within the industry, with multiple credible awards and consistent critical praise to her name. Her performances span a wide range of characters: grounded, dramatically heavy and complex roles like 'Yeseo' (Sky Castle), 'Goo Hye-young' (The Girl on a Bulldozer), and 'Gye Bun-ok' (Snowdrop), as well as more distinctive roles such as "Eun Dan-oh", "Im Sol" and "Eunho". Taken together, these performances clearly demonstrate her versatility, depth, and refined skills as an actor and her upcoming projects will continue to showcase her evolving craft.
I would highly recommend watching above mentioned works only if you’re genuinely interested in seeing her craft clearly, without preconceptions; otherwise, going in with a fixed mindset will likely only reinforce misconceptions.

So this is basically your third character? I’ll assume that’s the case. Since you didn’t mention which characters you’ve watched, I’ll point out that, based on her filmography, there is really only one character that can be called quirky—and that’s Eun Dan-oh. I’m still not sure how you concluded that her roles that you happen to watch are all quirky, but that seems like a rather shallow observation.
And as for “getting annoyed”—sorry, but that’s just a little dramatic on your part.
I’m loving the drama so far, but the Saejin–Hangyeol love line isn’t really working for me😅 and feels unnecessary. I’d rather love to see more of Jaegyu and Bom on my screen - I just love their dynamic.🫶
I feel so done with gumiho characters there have already been so many dramas with them and I feel like they all…
Honestly, this just screams shallow judgment. Isn’t it the case that almost every K-drama these days follows similar and predictable storylines, recycling familiar base plots? So why only single out “gumiho tropes” for criticism? And if, by your reasoning, similarity and predictability are reasons to skip a drama, then that logic would apply to nearly every K-drama, since most follow the same patterns. Are you, then, suggesting that audiences should stop watching K-dramas altogether?
The thing is, even with similar plots, what makes a drama shine is how it’s executed, along with luck and timing. Take "WLGYT", for example: its storyline—family, love, struggle, pain, and sacrifice is something we’ve seen countless times in slice-of-life/melo K-dramas, but it was its excellent execution along with luck and timing that made it stand out. So, you never really know how a drama will turn out until it starts airing.
At the end of the day, I firmly believe it’s personal preference—watch if something appeals to you, skip if it doesn’t.
Though from your wordings, it’s clear you’ve already made up your mind about this one, so I agree—you’re probably better off skipping it rather than ending up writing weird comments here.
There are plenty of other dramas airing in January, so feel free to enjoy those. 👍
