He's not Kim Nam Gil if he doesnt die a few times.
May I ask (under the spoiler tag) in which roles he dies in? I just finished TFP and became an instant fan, I'm looking trough his works what to watch next...
Hopefully they'll film this next year after Ha Nee has had time to spent with her baby. Nam Gil seems to have a busy schedule so I hope he'll have time.
A well deserved rating. Was a bit draggy, could've been finished better in 16 or 18 episodes, the last few episodes were a bit over-dramatic instead of suspenseful and personally would've enjoyed if the ML still had some comedic anger bursts in the second half as well (character development, I get it), since I personally found them hilarious in the beginning. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this and finished it in two days without getting distracted a lot in between, which is pretty unusual for me!
I read a while ago on Twitter that somebody claimed that this will come out on the second half of next year (it might have been the same source who released news of Seonho's press conference for Touching the Void, which would give them some credibility)... I'm really hoping that's not true, but after reading that Emergency Declaration was released a year ago on Cannes and it's only coming out in theaters this August, I'm worried that it will be true for Sad Tropical as well. Coming out this fall at Venice Film Festival and releasing in the theaters towards the end of next year...
Here's to hoping that the claim that ST will come out this December or at least early next year would be true T T waiting for a year still is too long ><
They improved her character so fast, but it felt surprisingly natural. Happy to see them working together now and that her character isn't annoying anymore.
Hopefully they'll still keep bickering though, it's entertaining (beside the one-sided malice behind it in the earlier episodes), and that the show won't start focusing on romance too much. For a mystery drama and given their earlier antagonist relationship, fluffy romance stuff would not fit in and personally I hate it when they force romance into a mystery series.
I'm just enjoying this so much and looking forward to every episode, even though many people seem to have problems with this. Even the FL doesn't hinder my enjoyment much.
The cafe gang are just so great and I think the show is based really well, not too slow or too fast. The comedy and mystery are mixed really well too, switching between completely silly scenes and expressions to serious situations isn't done awkwardly at all.
The teaser for tomorrow's episode looked so entertaining, gladly only a day's wait lol.
So if the FL's undercover ID is to be believed, she's 29, and since the ML is 33 the age difference is only 4 years after all.
It just seemed like it's supposed to be more since they used a child actor only for the FL in the flashbacks. The seemingly big age difference caused a lot of confusion since the actors are the same age in real life and SIG looks younger.
The man can do everything. A mysterious and intimidating role, a silly comedic fool, heartbreaking crying scenes, excellent in all and even switching from peak hilarity to stark seriousness.
Besides that he's an amazing singer, has a cute personality and one of the most unique visuals. There are so many handsome actors, but his face is also one of the most recognizable ones.
Anyone knows how the ratings are lately? I was kinda worried.. but i've been liking the last few episodes quite…
The ratings have been lower ever since they changed their air-time sometime last year, but they're still doing better than their first year, so I'm hoping that they'll still continue for a long time.
Even though Tale of the Nine Tailed had really awkward and overdramatic directing, her acting was still great, especially towards the end. She played the dual-role really well, her crazy act and her crying scenes were both really good. Made me want to watch more of her dramas.
She's probably the most close-minded policewoman I've seen.
It's frustrating that she was introduced like she's supposed to be this brilliant detective, while she's been acting anything but. She's so stuck on her own prejudice against the ML, that she loses sight of everything when he's involved.
Surprised that many people are disliking this. Personally I'm looking forward to every episode and find it hugely entertaining. The only minus is the FL.
Can't wait for more Oh Ji Hyuk, it's here so soon! His character was so intriguing in S1 and made me a big fan of the actor as well. I'm looking forward to his bromance with Do Chang too. Hopefully they'll have a more episodic plot this season, it would be fresh after S1 that focused mainly on solving that one bigger case.
I'm probably the only one who doesn't mind that the FL isn't here... I just wasn't a fan of her character in S1. I think her and OJH's developing relationship was fine, but overall I don't like it when they force romance into a show like this. In S1 it was fine and very subtle, but they'd likely have made it more pronounced this season if the FL had been around, which was one thing I wasn't looking forward to. Hopefully they won't force a romance plot with the new FL and will focus on solving crime.
I don't understand why she doesn't have main roles??? While she was the villain in Mad Dog and I disliked her character immensely, her acting was top-notch + she's really beautiful.
I really enjoyed this, Louis is one of my absolute favorite kdrama characters I've seen so far and I really liked the other characters in this show as well. It was a light hearted, genuinely funny and enjoyable watch most of the time.
But, I think this would've been better if it had been some episodes shorter, it did feel really draggy in some parts. Maybe even 12 episodes would've been enough.
And for me the forced childhood connection in the last episode was so freaking cringe I almost wanted to drop the score by half a point just for that. But since I really enjoyed the show and the characters 90% of the times, I'll still give it 9/10.
