The drama is good until episode 23, 32:50. that’s my ending of the drama for me. Anything after that is just bullshit to cover up for censorship issues. They should’ve ended it at that time and then should’ve done a special episode about them waking up from the coma or something like that. Or maybe given us a special episode of a proper ending. this will be a 7/10 for me. It was a 8 and the ending 10 mins made me drop the score. But it’s still a good drama if anybody is interested in watching it.

I honestly enjoyed this drama. A solid 8/10 for me.

Yes the drama did have some flaws but at the end of the day it’s a Chinese wuxia/historical drama and they all are very flawed. I’ve never seen a wuxia drama which is perfect.
I can get why people are annoyed but these dramas should never be taken too seriously to begin with. The name says Legend of the female general and the storyline didn’t follow the name and they should’ve changed it to an alternative one. He Yan’s character was very overhyped by the drama team in the first few episodes that she didn’t live up to it in the dramas course length.

I never would’ve thought of any negatives until I read a few comments disliking the drama. I honestly was loving it while watching the drama and didn’t have my senses on full alert to think of any criticisms. like I said when you’re watching Chinese dramas you should just go along with the ride and not try to overthink.

yep there’s been restrictions and censorship in time travel dramas for years in China. The government thinks that it disrespects history and promotes superstitions. The government just doesn’t want their people idealising these fake scenarios so often times when you see time travel dramas it usually concludes by waking up from a dream or something. So lot’s of people here don’t want that to happen. Hope this helped your understanding.

Bong-su ah stop this shit now. I thought you might have a redemption arc but you’ve pissed me off quite a bit. I didn’t think you’d turn out this way. All of your tantrums was the reason Ji-oh ended up giving away your ring and also you was the reason their mother ended up dying. If you stop here we might consider a potential for your future but if you actually keep acting like an evil spirit then you can start counting down your days. Next is Ji-oh, you legit knew the lady was trouble from get go but still ended up getting manipulated?! You should’ve spoken to someone else and checked with someone else before giving away his ring. There were 3 shamans living with Seong-A who you could’ve cross verified with but you went ahead and believed her and only had the guts to question for an answer after giving her the ring. Yep you messed up big time, you also played a big part in their mother’s death. Next is Yeom-hwa, girl you’re already a evil bitch but instead of realising your mistakes/ understanding your mother and learning from it, you choose not to repent but instead get worse with your evil deeds. You should probably open up your eyes and see that your mother died for you, the same mother who you claimed was selfish and never cared for you ended up dying for you? I hoped you’d end up realising and be regretful of your actions from the next episode but the preview shows me that now you want to kill Seong-A?! Do you have a death wish?? Anyways you’re done for me now and you should probably start focusing on dying and reuniting with your baby in heaven or something instead of crying about it and killing other people for it. And the mother now, as a mother you’ve given her countless chances but she still chose to be evil. You can cover for them once or twice but you can’t take over their punishment for the crimes you’ve committed. You chose to play your mother act with Yeom-hwa but now what about Seong-A? I just felt it was too dumb of you to act that way. Last is Seong-A. Where’s all your cheery and fighting spirit gone off to? You being depressed and hopeless made things soo much worse. It looked like you were soo done with life and wanted to give up on everything. You should’ve stayed next to Bong-su and tried your best in reasoning and consoling him like you do with the ghosts but you chose not to do anything. Bong-su felt like he was calmer and controlled when you were all smiley and nice but you acting like you were depressed and mourning made it worse for him and he started getting fixated on how he’s Gyeon-u. This episode seriously pissed me off!😤😖😫😠🤬

hi I’m planning on watching this drama but not sure if I want to start it. is this similar to alchemy of souls? because I really liked alchemy of souls and was looking for similar dramas. does this have comedy elements in it?

This is part 1. She was engaged to get married soon here but due to unforeseen circumstances she got married at an older age in part 2. I commented on part 1 so of course I wouldn’t know what would happen in part 2. They had dates set and preparations were halfway through before it got cancelled.

It was okay in historical times but the dramas these days don’t portray a young girl getting married at the age of 15. it’s a fictional drama so you can alter the age. please give me names of any dramas you’ve seen which shows young girls below 16 getting married. there’s always things in every drama which makes people uncomy but that doesn’t mean that you should stop watching it. if you were to not do things that make you feel uncomfy all the times then that’s just cribbing and acting spoilt.

I don’t like that niao niao is only 15 years old?! lin buyi is 21!? Like that’s not a bad age gap but 15 is still minor and niao niao is soo immature. In the beginning I thought she was 17 or 18 but damn 15 is a bit too underage.
It said the parents were away for 10 years but niao niao is 15yrs and they left when she was a baby and never saw her, so did they come see her in the middle don’t know. In that 15 years the sister in laws became close, the parents and brothers found friends but didn’t have time to pay her a visit??!
Niao niao is soo immature and acts like a brat. She is smart for her age and doesn’t want to rely on others so I do like her but compared to other females in the drama she is kinda lacking. They’ve given her a one track mind. I thought the war scenes in the middle would help her become more mature but girl lost her thinking power in that process and even was going to marry lu Yao? I can’t expect much from her as she’s only 15 and she also didn’t have any adults around supporting her. But I do like the comedy she gives us lol.
Lin buyi has always liked her from the beginning and throughout season 1 everybody started realising it except niao niao lol. I needed more Lin buyi pov, of course everyone knows he’s got feelings for her but he never said anything out loud or even in his mind. My man is soo cold hearted is expressionless all the time. But I feel like he should’ve tried to pursue her a bit before proposing out of nowhere. Like girl had never even thought of his existence until his proposal and bam she was forced to think about him. I wanted a bit of romance before the proposal but she’s 15 so makes me a bit uncomfy.
I’m sorry but girl took 27 eps to realise she likes him?😅😭🫠
Anyways season 1 was an okay watch, I’m currently watching season 2 rn hopefully the story gets better and there better not be much sad moments.

How are we soo likeminded I also started it 2 days ago and just completed it after months of avoiding. The ending was one of the reasons I hesitated to start it but it was not even that bad. But to me I wouldn’t consider it as a comfort show but it was a good watch.

Hi I’ve had this on my list even before it started airing, but I didn’t start it because I wanted to watch it after all the episodes were done airing, is this one worth the watch? And does this drama have comedy in it or is it just pure romance?

As a South Indian every single person I know drinks alcohol. Just like any other country there are some that drink alcohol and some that don’t and beer being the most easily accessible drink in India it’s enjoyed by mostly male population. And everyone no matter what country you’re from will judge you if you’re an alcoholic but they don’t judge you for drinking 1 glass of beer once every few weeks or months. Some religions might be very strict with their alcohol consumption but it’s not a taboo in India since alcohol has been enjoyed by our ancestors too. Sure they’re not sold at supermarkets like other countries do but there are soo many liquor shops at every street and are even served at weddings. But different parts of India can vary massively so not sure.

The ending seriously pissed me off😭😭Like I just spent 2 weeks watching the drama only for it to have an ending like this. I’ve been watching this from episode 1 hoping for them to end up differently and to be together but after all the time they spent trying soo hard to have a different ending they still ended up the same?! He still became the demon lord and they still couldn’t be together and one of them had to die?! Counting the first timeline where he killed everyone, the time travel to ye xiwu, the dream life, and the life after 500 years, one thing I’ve figured out is that in all the 4 chances they were given, they all ended in tragedy.
So I just spent 40 episodes of time to see tragedy keep repeating. I’d have given 8/10 if they hadn’t killed off Tantai Jin but as they did kill him I’d now give it a 7/10. It was a okay watch but I was just expecting more from it. The drama gives me love between fairy and devil vibes but with a bad ending lol. I’m just gonna think that love is sweet is their reincarnated versions and take that as their happy ending.

Their bickering scenes in the trailer reminds me of alchemy of souls 😅😂

When do you think she’ll realise that the ML is the young guy she’s been looking for. It’s annoying that she keeps ignoring the ML and keeps treating him bad. I really hope she fixes her attitude towards the ML after she finds out who he is. As this is a 40 episode drama I’m guessing she will probably find out in episode 30 or something but hopefully this doesn’t follow the classic drama cliche and will be abut sooner like episode 20 or so.

The ending was very empty, it feels like we can look forward to a season 2 or special episodes.

The fact that seok Jin had forgotten the fact that it was woo seoks second time being a running man guest lol.

Nope there isn’t any news😔 But hopefully with the meeting the PDs had a few weeks ago we might be looking at a fresh new entry and not recurring comedians like Se ho or Woo Jae. They might also consider KJKs option of renting out members than having fixed members so that they could get in K-pop idols for a few episodes and changing into another celebrity. But currently there’s been no new news so not sure if they’ll even get a new member anytime soon. 😢
