After watching 8 episodes I can officially comment on this drama. it’s good soo far, there is a good amount of comedy, suspense, romance. I wouldn’t say it’s the best but it’s a solid 7.5 for now. I feel like this drama has King the land vibes but I liked King the land more.

We’ve only got 4 more episodes to go so I’m guessing their romance is mainly going to start from episode 10 or so. Hopefully they don’t delay things till it’s too late and speed everything up so that we can be in peace for the last 2 episodes but I doubt they’re going to clear things up too quick and might drag this villain plot until the end. I’m hoping we get to see their happy married life, nullifying the contract, maybe a pregnancy but that’s asking for too much lol.

No I don’t think so. He doesn’t want to bring harm to Huiju and revealing the contract would do that so nope it’s definitely not him.

The empress dowager is seriously pissing me off in ep 36. There’s soo much injustice happening around her all caused by the villain but she’s locking herself in the chambers without doing anything. Like it’s obvious Shen Du was imprisoned wrongly and everyone is suffering in the hands of the villain. All she does is pray for the nation and keeps seeking validation from her dead emperor husband is she’s doing a good job. No ma’am you’re not doing a good job. She wants peace but she gave power to the villain to disrupt the nations peace. 😔

like I mentioned there’s some sort of surveillance cameras everywhere you go so there’s no point in hiding from it unless you’re about to commit a crime. They were just talking, not killing anyone. And nobody is gonna check their ring camera footage for no reason. so the guy would probably not check it too. Think more logically than complaining about a mystery drama not being logical. Are you saying you’re the type to check 24hr footage of ring camera everyday?

Hi I think you’re focusing too much on the non important details. Every door these days have a ring camera and in that scene there met each other in front of that door so they ended up talking in front of it. It would be too fake if they said “hey wait a minute, let’s go talk away from this door because I want to avoid the ring camera” And that would be even weirder. There are camera everywhere and people get caught because they are on cameras. if everyone was to avoid cameras when doing stuff then there would be nothing for us to talk about. And how do you know the guy will check his ring camera footage. the chances are 50/50 that he won’t check it. And they ended up catching him later that day so it saves them the problem of getting caught on ring camera lol. And no that’s not an example of a blatant mistake.

finally finished this! I haven’t read the novel so I don’t know what to compare it to but I thought it was a good watch. The story sometimes was definitely all over the place and other tiny stuff which makes this an okay watch but I still loved this drama. They focused a lot on Cai Pingshu. it was basically 80% of previous generation past story and 20% of FL and ML in the present. This drama was very Alchemy of Souls coded for me. And I loved the ML. I didn’t know I was into shameless, possessive, obsessive manipulative men but here I go again, I’ve found another type of men to obsess over. Now I’m off to go watch pursuit of jade so I can obsess over another ML lol

I just finished it and the starting episodes were a bit of a struggle to get through but it’s not a bad drama. I enjoyed watching the ML and I did not expect the villain reveal. i personally don’t think there is much angst in this drama. the leads kept pushing and pulling the angst wasn’t always there. it’s hard to explain. but if you’ve already seen the last 2 eps then there’s no point of resuming it but u can try a 2x speed and finish it up in half a day if you really don’t wanna skip the plot.

I’m watching ep 33 currently and I’m loving the drama. it took me 6 episodes to get into the drama. the beginning was hard and the dubbing and editing was all over the place but I kinda forgot about it later. I love how red flag coded MQY is. I did not enjoy the red flag ML in SOKP but I’m loving the ML here. He’s soo wattpad coded I wanna jump into the screen and kidnap him lol. Hopingthis has a satisfying ending. I’m glad i decided to watch this, the trailer looked very tragic and emotional which made me hesitant to watch but this is actually very funny.

finally completed it!! This was such a fun journey. I was kinda disappointed with the last 10 episodes it suddenly became soo gloomy and serious. I thought they were gonna go down the comedy ending part like A Dream within a Dream but no they didn’t which made it soo sad with all the people dying one by one. But I’m soo pleased with the ending. Now waiting to see how the donghua is gonna end. I’ll also go read the ending of the novel for more of the leads story. loved it!!

finally completed it! I started this when it started airing and it was interesting at first but then I kind of put it on hold as I was busy with other things. I usually still watch stuff when I’m busy but this didn’t quite grasp my attention so I thought I’d come back to it later. I usually watch 6-10 episodes a day but I took my sweet time watching 2 a day. it wasn’t bad but I also wasn’t that invested in it like the romance dramas I watch. I thought the cases were pretty interesting and entertaining.

The ending was kinda meh. They built up her parents revenge story soo much but when they revealed everything it was pretty much flat. I thought there was gonna be a bigger plot and stuff but it was just one guy not liking prince of duan so killed him, like not much story was given to it. And I usually don’t watch end credits but when it started it was like 5 mins long which was very suspicious so I stuck till the end and now I’m even more confused? I definitely think this needed another episode or a special episode to clear up a lot of plot holes in the drama. I definitely know they’re not coming with season 2 so why even include the scene? like what joy does the drama team get to leave their viewers hanging on purpose.

And I think this was the only drama where I didn’t root much for the leads romance at all. Again I don’t know the reason but I didn’t feel anything. They gave more good friends than lovers vibes and especially when she broke his heart I was soo pissed and happy that they’re breaking up but only for them to end up together. again they never apologised or cleared the air about their breakup?

I gave it a rating of 7/10. I will 100% recommend this drama. the FL was soo strong and badass and the ML here was weak but intelligent. it’s soo refreshing to see their roles switched. it’s a good watch but I don’t think I’d rewatch it.

I have no clue as to who they are? like previously mentioned I haven’t tried watching thai content so it’s completely new to me.

Hi I love Running Man Korea and I’ve watched like 10eps of Keep Running China, I only watch keep running when they’ve got my favs as guests. Should I start Thailand Running man? I’ve not seen anything thai so I’m not sure if it’ll interest me. it takes me a bit of time to get used to languages. I really want to experience the old running man again. and I’ve also got iqiyi. Should I start this or not? Is this as good as Korean one or would you say they’re both separate and independent?

I was not gonna watch this drama and I still don’t think I’ll watch it while this airs. the teasers look good but she’s definitely too young to be playing FL in a romance drama. I might wait until it’s done airing and give it a try after seeing comments and reactions.

I don’t mind the age gap but it’s the minor and adult pair up. I would’ve seen it if she was 19 or something but she was still 17 while filming this so I don’t like it. About her acting I can’t say much as I’ve only seen her in supporting roles and I wouldn’t say it’s extraordinary compared to other supporting actors. She didn’t stand out to me at all. But nevertheless I have seen Neo Hou’s acting and I’m definitely excited for this.

I think I’ll be fine as long as there’s no kiss or intimate scenes. I think when you’re 17 and the guy you’re with is 28, you wouldn’t want to be kissing or getting intimate, the heck I don’t even think you should be doing that. i don’t have a problem with them hugging in the drama but that’s it. unless they bring out fake kiss scenes where they don’t kiss but the camera angles make you look like you are. And if you’re on instagram you’d know what goes on there, people start bringing up grooming, pedo and other things if they see a couple like this. I don’t see any comments there saying you go girl or get your older adult man. So I know you all won’t be okay with it too unless you’re one of insta minority. you can’t give excuses saying that this is a drama so it’s different. for example me smoking weed at 16 for filming and saying it’s fine just because I smoked it for a drama scene.

Not tryna be a police here or something but thought I’d share my views. I know the legal age for sexual consent is 14 in China but I’m not Chinese so for me I’d consider it to be 18 unless they’re the same age. I’m not tryna throw shade on anyone and I know there’s a lot of negative talk going on but I’m not one of them. Like I said before I’m really excited for this drama but will wait until it’s done airing.

I thought that too but mdl hasn’t done that for the other dramas I’ve seen, they’ve placed all the popular actors who have guest appearances in guest section. it was just this drama I found weird.

wow mdl seriously needs to update their cast list. They had Annabel Yao right after Wang Xing Yue so I spent a whole 14 episodes to figure out who she was. I thought I’d missed a character or something. All of that waiting for her to only be in 4 episodes?! And Dai Lu Wa’s character is also not seen much and was only shown for briefly 5 secs each scene. I know mdl isn’t accurate and the cast and characters weren’t disclosed properly prior to drama release but all the other dramas I’ve come across do not have a messed up mdl cast list. it’s my first time experiencing this with mdl.
