it’s not realistic at all. I don’t know how it works in China but here in the UK you can’t be working as a doctor in a hospital you’re not registered under. You can’t just walk into a random London hospital and start operating on people. Even in the beginning they showed him giving advice and discussing cases with other doctors but in real life it would break confidentiality.

What Xigua sees in the SML? She sees handsomeness and intelligence. She probably had a love at first sight situation when she saw him at her cousins house. They didn’t have much interactions in the past so she moved to uni dorms to get close to him. They still didn’t have much interaction after she moved in. The only interaction they showed was her loaning him some money. And then she confessed after having the least amount of interactions I’ve ever seen in dramas and got rejected. And then from then on she saw him as Ye Rong’s boyfriend but she still had a crush on him. SML doesn’t have a brain so he says whatever comes to his mind. He thinks of Ye Rong as his friend so he trusts some of her words and thinks the FL is a spoilt rich kid. He doesn’t have a brain to think for himself so he just goes off on other’s opinions. But there is no need for an apology or a heart to heart conversation as they’re not close at all. We’re seeing this from FL’s POV so we think they’re friends but they’re basically just acquaintances. And SML probably also fell for her at first sight or idk what. They both don’t have a legit reason for liking each other as they never even got to know each other personally. You’ll understand more about SML personality as the episodes go by but honestly I don’t even think the SML has any clue about his personality. It’s giving weird silent nerdy kid in class but is popular due to his looks. He’s very introverted and socially awkward.His words are always contradictory lol.

You don’t have to worry much as they’re now moving onto the working world so they’ll be less interactions between them.

I haven’t read the novel so I’m not sure. But I’m guessing he’ll probably do both in the future, part time doctor and part time businessman sounds great lol

Not for me. I think I’ve come across lots of bad drama parents, her father is like the mildest version of them all. I think for me it’s definitely SML and Ye Rong. But the ML’ fam seems like snakes I think they’ll end up being even worse than her father

Same I’m soo happy everything is getting cleared up quickly. I’m happy that the drama with the mom and daughter is coming to an end but I’m not happy that the drama is nearing it’s end.😭

I have iqiyi UK and for me it’s available but only till ep 17. I’ll have to upgrade to premium to access ep 18. I already paid for a VIP subscription and I’m not paying £20 more just to get an extra episode a day so I’m watching it in illegal websites. But with Shine on me being a Wetv drama it’s not made available globally on iqiyi. it’s only available to selected countries so it’s probably not available in your country yet. But watching it on Netflix is not going to make much of a difference as it’s just 1 episode behind.

only Wetv and iqiyi vip premium customers get access to an extra episode which is not yet aired. normal vip users and Netflix get normal airing episodes according to the airing schedule. but you can find ep 18 in unofficial illegal streaming platforms

I don’t think soo. She probably only gets to know the girl posing as the daughter but I don’t think she’ll expose them as she herself doesn’t not know much about them. And their characters were just introduced so they’re still going to stick around. I’m hoping it to get resolved by ep 28 at least.

I just want it to happen sooner. I don’t want to wait till episode 35 something for them to get kicked out.

Omg the mother and daughter are soo fake. Pls tell me they get exposed sooner rather than later. I can already smell the drama those 2 are going to create.

THIS!! I really hope this drama gets the recognition it deserves. People are already rounding up their 2025 drama favs and it’s sad to see this drama not being included as they released it too late in the year. I didn’t watch our generation but from the clips I could see how great the acting was but sad they had to cut out half the scenes. I really hope to see this couple in next year award shows as I didn’t see them in this year’s award shows.

I was confused too looking at iqiyi today morning. one thing I’ve realised is that i have to avoid iqiyi during the show air time. they’ve got soo many glitches. As I’m vip I only get until ep 16 so I’m looking forward to seeing 17 tomorrow.

It’s hard to describe they’re like a couple but they’re not official. You still have lovey dovey moments to see so it wasn’t that bad. And they also wanted to get rid of the SFL aka the official main wife before they become the official couple.

I have a question. Since this is airing in 2025 and finishing in 2026 will this be considered 2025 drama or 2026? It’s such a beautiful drama, just wished it’d air next year so it can set the pace for 2026 modern dramas. But them releasing this in 2025 end is kinda annoying as it’s competing with other 2025 dramas like the first frost, the best thing, speed and love, etc.

you’re supposed to be getting 2 episodes a day if you’re on Netflix, iqiyi, Viki and Wetv. today it was supposed to be eps 15 and 16. 17 is only available to vvip members and illegal streaming platforms. one trick I do is I go through each episode beginning and ending to make sure I haven’t actually missed it out by mistake.
