You mentioned the one genre that I despise the most, slap and kisses. I find that genre toxic and not at all likeable. But to each their own. As for Davika, she is a very good actress, but I don't seem to get invested in her dramas. I tried watching my ambulance, and just couldn't continue it. The male lead was toxic for me and I couldn't understand why she would like him and the plot didn't seem to go anywhere. The only drama I completed of hers was You Are My Heartbeat, which although had lot of potential, it managed to fail in delivering it.
Why you ask. Her past dramas have not been much appealing to watch. Her co-actors, while they are successful on their own, don't seem much compatible with her (at least looks wise). Then when she was confirmed to star with Push, I was so happy as they both looked so good together, but the script, direction and everything else went wrong. But I think I'm just biased towards thai dramas because most of them I've tried to watch are just a big mess.
So I watched the first episode and it managed to keep me interested to wait for the others to get subbed, but I'm not sure what the plot is. Is it about one of the three women in her life who steal her lover or someone trying to get revenge on her? Nevermind, I read the whole synopsis on their YouTube channel and it will be interesting to see Davika in this type of role.
Also, why did she name her brand 'All about Vinegar'? It didn't sound like a skincare brand, but more like a food brand.
I lowkey want to watch this, the plot sounds interesting and the cast is great, but I very rarely watch pure horror…
I watched it through covered eyes and it still managed to scare me. Now I'm going to watch it again someday as I have many horror movies under my belt now. If you are planning to watch it, I'll warn you that the jump scares are really scary and terrifying.
Having not watched episodes 3 & 4, I can't really comment about them, but I guess the fighting scenes were toned down because of first season's controversy. I wouldn't exactly say controversy but as the stunt double didn't match Lee Je Hoon's body, there was quite the criticism.
And for the romance part, I personally wouldn't like romance, although subtle romance would be fine. And when I mean subtle, I mean almost non-existent.
Also, I thought as the first season was based on the webtoon, the second one would be too. Is that not the case with the second season?
@InaBalerina I second your comment. With the silly sound effects in almost every moment, reminded me of the thai dramas which overuse them. Also, some of the comedic moments seem to be forced.
Personally, I find both second leads annoying. I would rather watch Jung Won Chan's character Jo Shin Woo than Kang Young Seok's Jeon Kang Il as the second lead.
