I am enjoying, but I find it unfortunate that they quickly sped through the adaptation phase.we had the fear/overwhelming/panic/... in EP 1, so I would've loved to see more curiosity, amazement,... in EP 2. not just a flashforward of her quickly learning what she needs to learn, there is so much she couldve reacted to.the running water, toilets, soft beds, quality of clothes, lights, dehydrated food, electric/gas stove, microwave, temperature of the buildings, windows, mirrors, insert any modern technology, ... and these are just the things to find in her house.
now that I think about it, i would love to see a show like that. does anyone have a recommendation of a show where someone comes from the past and their reaction to modern times is an important focus of the show.
any ways, so far I'm loving the show the FL was selling her role as historical consort amazingly.
sigh, there we go again. why do they need to write a contract? they will never be able to use the contract. because if the existence this contract gets revealed, they would both lose everything. (he because he would be tarnishing the reputation of the royal family, and she because the ensuing scandal would force her to step down.) so in other words a verbal agreement would have just as much effect while not carrying the risk of being discovered.
What I've understood is that he and his brother had one mother - the queen - who died in 2005 in a car accident.…
there indeed so far hasn't been any mention of different mothers, but I am speculating based what the show has shown so far. when the queen funeral was shown, the bother king wasn't shown grieving. this creates the possibility that the two brothers don't have the same mothers. it is also possible that the brother kings mother died earlier(possibly during his birth) and that the king was then later pressured into remarrying. this could also explain why the king disliked i-an so much and why he was also not present at her funeral.
so, the grand prince is the brother-king's half brother? so did their father remarry? or will there be aote complicated situation between the title of crown prince. the brother-king's marriage also hints at smth more complicated.
I absolute hate it when I feel that I'm smarter or would do better then the characters. and in the first 2.5 episodes I had this feeling from start to finish. why didn't the military escorts have walkie talkies in the town? why do they continue to treat them as students instead of as soldiers in training.
what are these kids expecting to see when they return home? they saw what the city was like didn't they? can't they extrapolate this info? why is CSAT still even on their mind?
why choose to scatter when you are dealing with a big amount of enemies that are dispersed, and when most people in your group don't have any form of weaponry?
what kind of soldier throws his helmet as bait? why not some of the rubble that was laying around? why not call out, since the enemies don't have the same vocal capabilities as humans.
why was the shooting range across town and not just in the school? why isn't the teacher given any training, since the situation is that bad, and since she's there anyways.
as of now, the 2 big problems with this show:
1. the military seems incompetent. not telling people how dire the situation is is asking for trouble. 2. the students seem cartoonish. not realizing what situation you are in after the event of episode 2 is not realistic.
now that I finished, I can fully say that I really recommend this show. the main leads' relation ship, and their close family are very wholesome and 100% supportive start to end. they added some real historical archive footage in 2 places, which were a nice touch.
why do shows insist on these stupid marriage contracts? that contract is fully useless and on top of that a big liability. if he one day broke the contract she would have no way of enforcing it. because if she tried they would be branded as immoral and tried for marriage fraud.
they could've just as well haveade a verbal contract. it would've been just as binding(only honor based) and wouldn't come with added risks

I did know about Portugal being another zone but forgot.
but I never knew of the others, Today I learned.
then I recommend "heart of a genius"
it has some really thoughtful moments between father and daughter.

but as I've heard others say, based on the real cities.
this is probably done for censorship reasons, could be a workaround to allow for the time travel/slip part.
really nice drama, but I would recommend to skip part of the last episode.
