I absolute hate it when I feel that I'm smarter or would do better then the characters. and in the first 2.5 episodes I had this feeling from start to finish. why didn't the military escorts have walkie talkies in the town? why do they continue to treat them as students instead of as soldiers in training.
what are these kids expecting to see when they return home? they saw what the city was like didn't they? can't they extrapolate this info? why is CSAT still even on their mind?
why choose to scatter when you are dealing with a big amount of enemies that are dispersed, and when most people in your group don't have any form of weaponry?
what kind of soldier throws his helmet as bait? why not some of the rubble that was laying around? why not call out, since the enemies don't have the same vocal capabilities as humans.
why was the shooting range across town and not just in the school? why isn't the teacher given any training, since the situation is that bad, and since she's there anyways.
as of now, the 2 big problems with this show:
1. the military seems incompetent. not telling people how dire the situation is is asking for trouble. 2. the students seem cartoonish. not realizing what situation you are in after the event of episode 2 is not realistic.
Unfortunately, we don't have the chance to watch it on legal streaming platforms.

ah yes, 3 stars rewatch value, while dropping at EP 1. how much of the story did you see to give it half a star? based on your review I'm guessing you haven't even watched a second of it.
now that I finished, I can fully say that I really recommend this show. the main leads' relation ship, and their close family are very wholesome and 100% supportive start to end. they added some real historical archive footage in 2 places, which were a nice touch.
why do shows insist on these stupid marriage contracts? that contract is fully useless and on top of that a big liability. if he one day broke the contract she would have no way of enforcing it. because if she tried they would be branded as immoral and tried for marriage fraud.
they could've just as well haveade a verbal contract. it would've been just as binding(only honor based) and wouldn't come with added risks
it starts of with introducing her power and defining a rule around it. and tbh I loved the concept, her being…
I was thinking that he couldve contacted emergency services to prepare a net. since he probably didn't see her land after jumping.
but I do realize that it would feel a bit outlandish for her not to hear/see them before jumping.
I don't mind them having the future be changeable, since they revealed it in EP 1. imagine if they suddenly did that in EP 14,15 or 16, then it would've felt like a betrayal or Deus ex machina.
There are like 5 pages of reviews of Our Universe on MDL. So I started reading the reviews ... *** Just out of…
With a dumpster fire drama like this, I would believe people making their first interactions(other than searching things) on this site.
But I've also started seeing the tell-tale signs of people using AI.(Although I still believe some of these to be human)
I find it so odd to decide to use AI to write/edit comments and reviews. These interactions here really don't matter that much for the overall perception of the drama.
just watched the first episode, and never have I had better first impressions, just for them to be trashed a second…
it starts of with introducing her power and defining a rule around it. and tbh I loved the concept, her being able to involuntarily view out of context snippets of the future and not being able to stop it is interesting.
but then by the last third of ep1 they break the rule they've set up, and ML manages to prevent the future she saw from happening. making most of the events of ep1 useless. here is what I hoped that was going to happen after ML woke up: he has the dream, finds it odd and detailed but doesn't yet 100% believe it. he them meets FL and her date on valentines. an increasing amount of things come true, he tries to change things, but fails. everything happens as it did in the dream. so after the accident he tries to work around the dream, instead of against it. he tries to get evidence of the swap(like keeping the car for further investigation, camera footage,...) he also gets a rescue cue to save her after she jumps to her death. and that way, everything happens as they dreamt, but the outcome fully changes.
but anyways, about how things did go. her dismissing his words is a plot contrievence. she should've taken his words more seriously, especially after it started snowing. he also used the worst way imaginable to try and convince her.
incidentally, her and Asher mom also used the worst words imaginable for the smoker. the best they could come up with is "don't smoke it will kill you"?
I just finished it as well. there must be something wrong with me, lately I've been agreeing with the MDL ratings,…
I think it was probably a suicide. since they talked about how much he was "in pain" and how his wife said she should've been more attentive and asked about how he was doing.
Beautiful cinematography and a very nostalgic tone, but the story feels extremely predictable. After the first…
1 star? the theme is right there in the description. if you don't like that theme, why even start watching in the first place? even worse, why rate something that you already know that you won't like? why rate something based on the theme it chose? it's one thing if you don't like the execution of the theme, but if you don't like the theme, don't bother watching.
I did know about Portugal being another zone but forgot.
but I never knew of the others, Today I learned.
then I recommend "heart of a genius"
it has some really thoughtful moments between father and daughter.
and in the first 2.5 episodes I had this feeling from start to finish.

but as I've heard others say, based on the real cities.
this is probably done for censorship reasons, could be a workaround to allow for the time travel/slip part.
really nice drama, but I would recommend to skip part of the last episode.

I'll probably let this one rest for a few days before continuing.
