1. the military seems incompetent.
not telling people how dire the situation is is asking for trouble.
2. the students seem cartoonish.

the main leads' relation ship, and their close family are very wholesome and 100% supportive start to end.
they added some real historical archive footage in 2 places, which were a nice touch.
