My thoughts on a season 2 rumour: I’ve watched c-dramas since the late 90’s (yes, I’m old 😂). and never have I seen “season 1” being written on the intro, like they did with this drama, unless a season two is a given. Like lost you forever, it was confirmed two seasons. therefore, “season 1” was written on the intro. It wasn’t really two seasons, they had to call it that since it’s not allowed to have more than max 40 eps. Season 2 was just a continuation of season 1, everything was filmed continuously. maybe it’s the same for GOTDF. We can all hope at least 😄

In the old days, the standard was 24 eps. Then, it started to increase to 30, 35, 40. Some even 80! Then it averaged on 40. Personally I think 40 is too long! It should be divided into several seasons. A lot of 40 ep dramas have too much empty talk.

Why is the # of watchers on MDL not higher if the heat index is over 30K?
The heat index are based on Chinese viewers on Chinese platforms. The rating on MDL are based on users that register on MDL and put in the ratings. They don’t reflect each other.
