Totally valid crashout for Ye Ying in Ep 11 tbh Also don't get the hate for this character. She's not an inherently bad person, just a bit of a fool sometimes and not nearly as bad as Mo Jingli
Just watched Ep 25, and why do I actually kinda feel bad for Liu Yan. I know this might be kind of a hot take, but what he said after his conversation with Lady Yulou about why he and Lady Qiao could not be together made me kinda feel bad for him, although it definitely doesn't justify his evil deeds (like killing his younger brother, who was just a child - that part really shocked me). One thing I love about this drama is how naunced each supporting characters are. They all have their own intricate backstory to read into and the villains have certain motivations behind their actions that I am able to relate to. This is hard to find in a lot of cdramas (I'm also currently on Ep 6 of Love of the Divine Tree and so far the villains all seem really basic and like they're just there to be villains), so I hope someone can give me some recs on other cdramas that also do well in this aspect.
I’m currently on episode 18 and honestly… I don’t quite get the hype yet.I went in expecting a proper enemies-to-lovers…
It's definitely a SLOW burn, but I personally enjoy dramas like this more. It's more realistic, and despite the fact that neither of them has confessed their feelings to the other, their affection has been shown through various small actions here and there
Objectively, how good is this drama? I haven't started watching yet, but the rating is so high I'm really considering it now. Like we haven't had a 9 rated cdrama in ages. Any viewers who are not diehard fans of either lead willing to give an objective review of the drama so far?
Just wait and watch the following episodes and you'll know more about them and their story... instead of judging…
I'm on Ep 19 now, and still don't like the ML. Like I don't hate him but he's just such a 1D character who's entire life is literally built on liking the FL. I hate that intern at the FL's workplace for the same reason. Luckily, the rest of the story is quite watchable, and I quite like the FL and her story. I'm also mostly watching just to see the second leads bc I LOVE their storyline.
started it.So far i do not like male lead that much.I think its just stupid to be in love with someone ur whole…
I completely agree with you. The female lead actually acts like a normal person, while the male lead's entire personality is built on liking her. I would have liked her to end up with someone else.
Honestly, I felt for Murong Yao and his dad, but it was all miscommunication bigtime. Honestly, if Murong Yao had just told Feng Suige instead of revolting I believe Suige would have stood up for them, but aghhh the emperor is just the root of all problems. Side note: Murong Yao's dad could have just taken him to flee instead of trying to kill the emporer and Suige ngl
Am I the only one who thinks ZhuangShen's revenge against Feng Pingcheng is lowkey justified? Yes, Zhuang Shen's son JingHeng was dumb for doing all that, but they weren't actually planning to revolt. Feng PingCheng could have just punished them or something if he wanted to make sure it never happened again, but killing JingHeng was just a bit extreme in my opinion seeing as Zhuang Shen did help Feng PingCheng found the kingdom after all. Zhuang Shen really shouldn't have targeted Suige or his mother though as they had nothing to do with it.
Guys, I'm a little confused. Did Ding Qi still have his ability at the end, and that's why he looked back? Also, did Han Yufei end up dying (I'd be kinda sad if he did, he was a good son)?
Does anyone have any recommendations for dramas that are kinda like the Chi Wangchuan + Jili (mirror demon) arc or the Chilian + Xingxian (snake demon) arc? Short drama recs welcome too
Am I the only one who loves demons like the cat demon and the snake demon? It's so wholesome that they remember those who have helped them in the past and are determined to repay their kindness! I also really like the fact that every demon in this drama has some kind of a backstory that does make you kind of pity them when they end up meeting their demise, despite their evil deeds. Like Chi WangChuan was crazy and killed a lot of innocent people, but you could tell he really did love Ji Li. And I felt bad for the bug demon because he could never see the moon, and I guess he just wanted to live a normal life and see the beautiful places and things everyone else did. He just went a bit overboard.
I know right! His loyalty to the innkeeper Feng Tian was so touching! Their story was sooo sweet before the puppet demon Wu Niang ruined it. They deserved a better ending :(
The young actress who played the puppet demon was so good!!! Her every movement really seemed like a wooden doll, and she conveyed the craziness and obsession of Wu Niang so well! Wow, so many talented actors and actresses in this drama!
Also don't get the hate for this character. She's not an inherently bad person, just a bit of a fool sometimes and not nearly as bad as Mo Jingli
