wait what are you talking about exactly?
LOL. It was a crazy off the wall projected MAYBE ending before the grand finale was aired. Something that you might see in one of the old Divine movies from the 1970's.

So...maybe they do finally get to be with each other in the final episode. So what! Big deal. It won't end there. Soon the arguing will start...then the fights...and the accusations of cheating. It WILL get ugly. LOL. Sworn to faithfulness they will no doubt be cheating on each other behind each other's backs...jumping from car to back alley to bed with whatever foreigner....French or English...that they can find. So much for love.

Happy ending……………………………………………….in the afterlife?
It was a time of cultural change for Thailand during that decade. Although he survives, Phob questions the path that he took in life. And Tinn finally understands what he really wants out of life. So...they grab Grandma's wigs and everyday jewelry, run off to the Soi Cowboy district of Bangkok...and together they live happily ever after...turning tricks as lady boys.

I've always been a fan of "Tongtong" Kitsakorn Kanogtorn. It's amazing how some guys are so lucky to be so incredibly handsome.

So far...excellent. But I do have to laugh about the suturing scene in episode 2. He's a doctor....and he didn't cleanse the wound prior to suturing? And...no anesthetic (xylocaine) injected into the surrounding tissue prior to suturing? LOL. But...I still really really really like this series.

By the middle of the 3rd episode I dropped the series. I found it boring...tedious. So much of it was filler...fluff without substance. Honestly, aside from handsome Liu Jing Yu and the beautiful scenery, it was just awful.

My take on Phob's mother:

Considering the era, I would hardly group her together with the women of that time who were truly abused and taken advantage of. They were the true victims of their society. They accepted whatever scraps were given to them ....with tragically pathetic....appreciative... smiles. By comparison, she had a charmed, cushy life. I would hardly describe her lot in life as accepting scraps. She and her son even had their own home on the palace grounds.

Now....as to her reaction to Phob and Tinn.

It's unfair to superimpose our cultural acceptances onto a society of 100 years ago. Because most of us were born into this present era of acceptance it's easy to become judgmental of those who came before us.

Do I like her behavior? Absolutely not.

But do I understand her mindset? Yes, completely. She is a product of her time and her society...and doesn't understand that love, whether same sex or opposite sex, is love.

Was her decision to leave the palace an acceptable decision? NO...not one bit. She denied her son the opportunity to move ahead in life with a fully paid European education. By this decision she placed both herself and her son in harm's way. It was impulsive and irrational.

As time progressed should she have softened her stance and become more accepting of her son's love of Tinn? YES. ABSOLUTELY. No matter what society they lived in, Phob's enduring love for Tinn should have earned him complete acceptance by his mother.

And that is where I stopped giving her any type of a pass. 10 years of adulthood passed. Phob was a man now. His love was unwavering. And still, she remained unmoved. At that point her behavior was myopic...self centered...cold...rigid....and just absurd.

By episode 10, I found her behavior to be more egregious than Prince Vasin's.

Ongsa is a STUNNINGLY handsome man, and he's even beautiful when he cries. He's also a good actor. But HOLY CRAP…
YES!!!!! Enough of the crying. It reminds me of Fluke's never ending flood of tears in Until We Meet Again. After that series, I never watched another series that Fluke was in.

Watched the first episode .... I am not okay . I thought this drama would be similar to Memoir of Rati or I feel…
Memoir of Rati didn't do it for me either. But...what was there about I Feel You Linger in the Air that you didn't like?

How does Chat have the nerve to blame Phob for losing their palace, when they had to sell it just to keep him…
That's an easy one to answer. He's a prick.

I'll say this again. I'll stand ten toes behind this: Just because Phob had the interest of the people at heart…
I've posted posts similar to yours and received heat...and was called names. I just don't understand how some of the people here overlook betrayal.

Phob betrayed Tinn. He betrayed the family that treated him as one of their own. He betrayed his mother. I wouldn't go near that guy with a 10 foot pole if he were interested in me. Yeah...he had a difficult time of things once his mother whisked him away from their genteel life at the palace and tried to make it on her own. But most of us had very difficult periods in our lives...and many of us have had nightmare existences at one time or another. This doesn't justify betrayal.

If I had to sum it up in one sentence, it would be : Phob is not an honorable man. So please, Phob, take your psychological and emotional baggage and leave Tinn alone.

The only thing Phob actually did wrong was lie to the prince. That’s it. Phob was a pawn in a much bigger game,…
The fact still remains that I never said what you publicly accused me of saying. That is libel. As wrong as you are, I will still let you have the final word as you are so set in having it. LOL

Irrational thinking prevailed in episode 10. Vasin refused to acknowledge that his mother was dying from kidney failure and instead blamed Phob for her condition. Chat...LOL...Chat blamed PHOB....LOL...for the loss of the palace. AND neither Tinn nor Vasin set the record straight by telling Chat that his actions....embezzling the government's funds...was the sole reason why they lost the palace. Vasin...Chat...and Tinn....hey guys...is anyone home in those heads of yours? Chat is a complete failure in everything else except the blame game. He seems to have aced that one. Were we in Siam or were we in crazyland in ep 10?

Tinn is a good man....but his love for Phob blinds him to reality. But...that's what love sometimes does. Their lives began together. They were bound by Fate from the very beginning...and they will continue together because of Fate.

Perhaps, so. But he betrayed those who loved him. I stand firm that Tinn deserves better.

Phob was headstrong. He was vengeful against the system that he was raised in. Evidently he didn't care who was hurt as his actions directly affected Tinn, Grandma, and his own mother....the very people who loved and nurtured him. The facts are the facts. I am most certainly staying within the context. And yes, you are also entitled to view things as you wish. I was stating facts. You, on the other hand, were stating your opinion that I was twisting these facts. And what is so twisted about Tinn deserving better? I would hope for better for myself given the circumstances.

I appreciate the dialogue with you, though...the exchange of views. It brings the story alive beyond the screen!
