Interesting that you say that. It is my exact sentiments as well. I have followed TongTong since "To Sir With Love". I've been mesmerized by his amazingly good looks and strong but gentle personality. Just an overall beautiful man. And never...never ever ever....did I think that he would be in a scene like that.

Ken has been trying to die...attempt after attempt after attempt. And nothing has changed. He still wants to die. It could be possible that he's trying to find the nour killer so that he can convince the killer to kill him. And...the only wrench that James is throwing into Ken's plan is falling in love. If that is truly the case, then that's why Ken had James transferred back to Bangkok.
I had higher hopes for this series. The concept is interesting...although not anything new in the world of sci-fi genre. The acting was extremely mediocre....and I'm being generous. Lastly, the series just seemed to drag on...and on...and on...with unnecessary pauses...script deadwood...and a very painfully slow pace.
There just isn't enough time to watch all of the good BL's being produced....and this definitely isn't not one of them. So I dropped it to make viewing time for other BL's.
I did some research regarding the Siamese Revolution of 1932. There was a royal insurrection in 1933. Most of the royal insurrectionists were imprisoned. After a 3 to 5 years of imprisonment, the royal insurrectionists (i.e. royals similar to Prince Vasin and Chat) were pardoned and given amnesty...full freedom. This was done so that the royals would not be made martyrs in the eyes of the people. THIS IS A FACT. You can do the research yourself for verification.
So....where am I going with this?
It actually was a happy ending for everyone. Tinn and Phob get a chance at their lives together. Within 3 to 5 years (1936-1938) Prince Vasin and Chat are pardoned and given amnesty with full freedom. And as we saw in the final chapter, Prince Vasin and Chat made peace with Phob...even though they will ever see eye to eye....and accepted Tinn's and Phob's relationship.
Of course Prince Vasin is fictional...but he is a representation of the actual true leader of the royal insurrectionists, Prince Boworadet, who fled to French IndoChina (Vietnam) but then later returned to Thailand in 1948, fully pardoned. But for the story line of this series he was captured and imprisoned among the other insurrectionists.
