What a good explanation you have . I think this often happens when you have more complex characters with hidden reasons so it frustrates a lot of viewers who cannot understand why they act this way. Even if they do, some still put all the blame on one person especially females. I really think if Bai jiu si suffered for 10 years the reactions wont be the same

And while she didn’t constantly interfere with mortals, this is still a love tribulation, which means they're meant to experience struggles and growth. That was her mistake, yes but he also lacked understanding and compassion for humans at the time. Maybe if they both had the same mindset or chose to work together, things would’ve played out differently.

Even now, he does understand mortals, but to her, it’s too late. She’s stuck in the mindset of “you still don’t deserve to live " that’s the level of pain she’s carrying. According to the trailer, she did say he’ll fall back into her trap, which shows she’s not planning to stop. Right now, she sees him as an enemy and the pain she’s holding onto is clearly deep. Back when they first met, she was more strong hearted, but so much has happened since then. And even now, despite everything she does, he still doesn’t explain himself or his reasons properly either.

That’s why it feels like both of them are hurting, but neither wants to open up first. I understand why you feel it’s repetitive, I just think it’s going to continue this way until they finally open up and in the next few episodes that will happen.

I just realized that when Yue was helping the Meng family’s grandson, she kept acting so weak. He even joked that she only used a bit of power, so why was she so drained that probably means she was already pregnant at the time without knowing it then Bai Jiu Si sealed her powers.

It is called scheming and it seems they slept together but she didn't realize that she's pregnant and when she has been fighting the bad guys with Meng grandson she is always weak.
