Now that I think about it, Hua Ru Yue is definitely more strong headed. There was a part in the flashbacks from the earlier episodes when they were falling in love Bai Jiu Siu said they had been fighting for so long, and if he hadn’t been the one to say “let’s stop,” she probably would’ve kept going 😭😅.

For 300 years? , hatred doesn't have a limit until the person is willing to stop. For me she is feeling resentful, bai ji siu would have done it if he was in the same situation. When I think of it though, Hua rue Yue is actually strong headed even when they met each other before falling in love.

This drama storyline is actually insane because I don't remember watching a xianxia drama starting this way and turning out to be plot twists, what you mentioned is the tropes added to the storyline so you feel its similar. like the stabbing

I had a feeling she was scheming after they fell, because she can't suddenly forgive him. After watching the preview for ep 20 yesterday I was almost sure I just wanted to watch.

Her original plan didn’t involve changing anything in the mortal world remember, she only ended up falling with him after failing to kill him. I already had a feeling she was going to come up with another plan or maybe even had it set in motion from the start. There were small hints all along that it was all just an illusion.

Since they both view things differently they are bound to face any problem even though its not what happened. She did listen for years until the servant died.
