They help actors build their portfolios, gain visibility, and showcase their talent to a broader audience and industry professionals. And also, Breaking into primetime or longer dramas can be tough. It usually depends on how well the web series does, how good the actor’s performance is, and who they know in the industry. Some actors make the jump easily, but others might find it hard to move past the short format because of being typecast or not having enough opportunities.

It’s restricted on iQIYI in mainland China. When I search for the series and check the 'Now on Air' section, it’s not there. I think they have obtained a license and approval, but only for international. Even on iQIYI’s Weibo, there hasn’t been any promotion or announcement about it's airing. The only announcement has been for international(iQIYI Facebook).

Censorship has nothing to do with that. The problem is with MangoTV, I emailed them yesterday about episode 7 having no English subtitles for SVIP members. They replied in the afternoon, saying they were working on it. The problems with MangoTV International are poor subtitles and occasional delays in airing episodes. I'm so pissed at them
