I watched it a second time and I loved it even more. No heavy drama. Just a really nice simple story about friends becoming involved. It actually reminded me of my own college days…hanging out in the student union, going to the mall, having crushes, breaking up and moving on. This role fit Plan and I thought the fl did a good job. Plus I love happy endings. Love the ost too.
I am watching this for the second time. I don’t usually like this genre but this one has such a compelling storyline and the acting is top notch. It’s also only six episodes so there are no annoying side stories or frivolous love interests. The script is tight and every thing is connected so I even refrained from pressing fast forward and skipping parts. I hope there is enough interest to warrant a season 2 but Netflix is so unpredictable.
Simply beautiful…another Japanese gem. They truly are masters at using the most subtle glances and nuances to elicit just the right emotion…no over the top dramatics, no intrusive third party, no obligatory car crash…just a very simple love story that deals with the complexity of being different.
I just finished this movie and I loved it. Just a beautiful , poignant love story. I appreciate how the story evolved. It was not rushed or forced. The feelings came naturally and it reminded me how pure true love can be. The mls were perfect and I felt their chemistry. But to me this movie was about more than the two of them. It depicted love in so many forms. I especially loved the scene with the “sister”. And the ending was perfect.
do u even understand why he hates his stepmom and dad, he has been manipulated by his mom since he was a child…
As I’ve said before I’ve seen first hand how a child can be fed lies and taught to hate. The trauma doesn’t go away just because you are an adult. And when the truth comes out it is devastating. Kudos to the team for a very real portrayal of how seeds of hate when planted in a child’s mind can cause so much mental and emotional damage.
I am still enjoying the series so far. There are some moments where I wonder what’s going on but then I think about the real world and it’s just as fragmented. Fiat reminds me of someone I knew growing up. I eventually learned that he was fed a bunch of lies about his father and his stepmother which caused him to be bitter and hateful. We only have a few more episodes so I hope we get a happy ending for both couples.
Thank you. I read this review and it validated my own analysis of this thought provoking episode. I am also so happy for Boun and Prem. It is wonderful to see them get the praise they deserve for their performance in this project.
I felt the father was terrible but his reaction was very realistic. I was glad to see that the younger son was still able to live in the same house and had the support of his siblings. Also, there was no physical abuse which has been depicted in other BLs. I was also pleased with how the female character Jenni was shown. For once we have a caring, sincere female who is in love with one of the mls but does not resort to manipulation and Is an asset and not a foil or just another lovesick female who will do anything to get a man or prove she can turn a gay man straight.
Episode 4 was the best. BounPrem did not disappoint. It was awesome. Hint: don’t stop at the credits…watch until the very end! I just adore these two. I can’t wait to see their next project.
